Projects My friend Bruce's new 36 Ford roadster

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, Aug 2, 2009.

  1. Coupke weeks ago My friend Bruce (F-head) bought some 36 roadster doors, cowl and quarter panel pieces. He then found this car, the remains of a 36 5W. I delivered this car to him last weekend, and he already has it looking good.
Story on the 5W is it was used as a coyote killer, drive it around the ranch and blast the 'ol coyotes when you see em.

Now, a mere week later it's mocked up to be one bad ass roadster. Bruce has good taste, eh?

I don't know man...it would look tits flat black with red wheels and a cry baby doll in the first pic.

I like it. What's the scoop on the roof?

  3. I immagine so you could stand up and shoot the coyotes. Note the dash has been cut (and edges rolled). Square wood blocks on the pedals, shifter handle bent strait up, gas tank in th trunk. It looks like they spent more time modifing the car than driving it :D

I'm a bit surprised he doesn't have it running and driving by now. What's the hold up?

Whoa!!! I think I should lob the top off my new '35 after a few years and go topless after seeing this. That thing looks ridiculously good already. Definitely has a good eye.

Apparently no one told him you can't build your own car.

The car looks awesome. Met a couple guys from Arkansas in the campground at the Oklahoma Nats in 91. They told a story about hunting turkeys or at least I remember it as turkeys. The had an old Ford Falcon with the roof cut off and the doors gone. They would idle across a field, see a turkey, sidestep out and let the car keep going. That way it wouldn't spook the birds by stopping. Said the car would stop on its own by hitting a rock, fence post tree or something.
