It's pretty*****ing good! ElPolocko has had it. I'm cooking up a batch here shortly and will save you a wee bit. Remind me in a couple weeks. [ QUOTE ] well how good of shine do you got?and how can i get some? [/ QUOTE ]
Had a connection in Hartford, Kentucky for stuff that was better than any storebought whiskey I ever drank. But lost the connection when I moved to corn-free west Texas. Brings tears to my eyes.
You can buy moonshine in a beverage store it is legal and bonded. Its called Georgia Moon. It comes in a mason jar with a screw on top.Happy drinking.. Bobby

Moonshine is liquor (of any type, not just corn) in an uncut (unwatered down) state. Trust me, you aren't going to be buying something that's 180 proof in any store unless it's Everclear...and that stuff is putrid. I'll let folks know when I finish this run and send out a few small containers.

Bttt...I had a buddy give me some moonshine in a mason jar. It was full up yo an inch from the top. I put it in the cabinet - then one day when I got it down after a couple months - the fumes had eaten a hole the size of a nail head in the top of the mason jar lid. There was just rust laying in the bottom of the jar. It made it taste better. I'll be going to Dawsonville on saturday - hope to see some of you there K9 was that your car on the dixie fried sticker?
I just watched a special about Moon Shine on the History Channel, I think. Very intrusting. If you get a chance, watch it.
From looking at last year's pictures they did the show in "downtown" Dawsonville. I heard that the whole deal would be at the Thunder Road building this year. True? I hate that I can't go. Where I grew up they called it fruit juice, 'shine or lightnin'. All of it would kick your****.
Acording to the web site the "cruise-in" is at Thunder road. The web site said it starts at 6 pm. Can any one confirm?
That show*****ed...bad. Really bad. They tried to dance around the ingredients and process of making 'shine, which was extra gay. And of course they had to throw in some reality TV, Jerry Springer***** to make it watchable to the general public. If someone wants to know how it's really done, I'll point them in the right direction. -Anthony [ QUOTE ] I just watched a special about Moon Shine on the History Channel, I think. Very intrusting. Nevermind...My neighbor just brought me a Quart of Peach Moonshine from "Up In tha Hills Tennessee"And lemme tell you its TOO good..Getcha in trouble good!!I had 2 glasses equivalent to 2 shots and DAMN..talk bout LOOPY!
One of the best experiences in my life was spending the day with Bob Walker at Power Play/Hot Heads in North Carolina, doing a huge story on early Hemis--everything you'd wanna know. That night, he had two friends come over, and the three of them played blue grass in the living room of his log cabin house (he'd kick my**** for calling it blue grass--it's actually Old Time music--before Bluegrass). The two guys were father and son, and they were taught by the grand dad--who is in the Smithsonian museum as the example of Old Time music. Six string guitar, fiddle, Bob on the banjo. And we drank Peach "brandy" from a couple of mason jars. When that was gone, we drank the "white liquor" they had. 2am came mighty quick. The next day went by pretty slow. Since then, I've developed a real taste for both (the peach brandy and good mountain music). -Brad
