I like the idea of skirts and woodlites from Riks thread..Although that is a speedster and yours is a conv. It might make it look to stubby..

Hi 50Fraud. The first pic in the post shows it with the top on, lots of work to make it, not much style. If I do drop the windshield down I may be able to use part of it for the Carson style top.

  5. very cool. theres enuf restored cars around. i like the idea of driving a bastard too.

windshield chop is OK but maybe needs to be leaned back a bit also. You could chop it a bit less but still get a lower line. Nothing sever, match the layback of the radiator.

If thats an original Auburn 6, I may be interested in it if you don't run it. I like oddball engines.

1935 Auburn Custom: I think I saw that car years ago. A farmer outside of Newberg, Oregon had it. He offered it to me for about $15,000. I had to pass. I have pics of it. He used to drive it around but he told me he didnt drive it because tabs were too expensive. His brother was the original owner. The pics of the "house" it was in are priceless and the car was soooo close to the highway but no one really knew it was there! I tried to get many people to buy it over the years.... I'm glad it found a home!

It's interesting to find this thread. I bought the car in December of 2013 and have been looking for more information on it. Unfortunately the bumpers, fog lights, hood ornament, spare tire shroud, and gauges were removed and I've had to track them down. I've put everything back together but the front bumper, tire shroud, and fog lamps. The car now sports whitewalls, runs, drives and stops and I took it out to a show last weekend. If anyone has any photos of it in the past I would love to see them! Thanks!

  10. nice to see a follow up on this thread and the car got saved and on the road.

  11. Looks better in its current state ... without that wide front bumper. Thanks for the newer pictures. I like that car. More details as you will, please. Pics' via centerfold ... all that you can muster.

Absolutely beautiful car! Nice spartan as well! I have been searching for a couple of door latch and hardware sets for my 48 spartanette if you happen to know of any...
