On Saturday morning, BUZZARD, LUX, and I took his coupe to the local ch***is dyno for a baseline read before he makes a few updates... watch that tire grow!!

Then, on Sunday, D.W. and I swapped the chunk in Joyce's pickup for a 3.55 Trac Loc... then we giggled like idiots!!

257hp and 285 tq., with the pretty much the street tune and old plug. But I'm pretty sure they're not regular horse powers.

These are more like wild stallion ponies all hopped up on the PCP.

I think I found your pony out wandering I-35 ? I believe the name branded on his **** is Sparkly Greaser Pony? Quite intimidating indeed! :)

    FYI loved the videos!

Wow, if you knew how timely that joke is. Blake and I rewired some of the car on Saturday. We ran battery cable and alternator wire to the back. The only 2 gauge they had was clear casing and the only 6 gauge was "light red". Blake gave me My Little Pony jokes the whole time.

The coupe sounded great on the dyno! What rpm were you you up to? I guess the blue smoke from the exhaust will go away after its broke in?

It's a 327 with dual quads, middle of the road Comp Cams XE274 and Dart Iron Eagle heads and around 10:1 compression. It's got a Muncie behind it and runs traction impaired 12.70's on cheater slicks.

It's pretty dang broke in. I've been thrashing on this motor for almost 10years now.

We ran it to 6k. Since they did the pull in 4th, that wrings the back tire out to 150 mph!

That is something that I learned from this. I've been shifting the car at 7 grand because it never noses over. The dyno showed that it started dropping really quick after 5500. So, I may pick up a little just by shifting sooner.

Of course, I have some changes coming that may push the torque curve a little higher as well.

Really nice guys. Steve Cline and the owner, Dan, ran the dyno for us. Silva works over there, but he was out of town this weekend.

  20. Non-the-less... those are really good numbers!!!!

Secretly Always loved your little pony but I really loved the credits from "Monty Python" in the "Potato Peeler" video!!!!

What really matters on those tires are looks and the 60 footers!

How many miles do you have on those "Stones"?

I had to watch the pick up video twice to see the "girl in castle anthrax" and "officer eating an apple" as listed in the credits....

    awesome display of awesomeness Blake.

Blake did a pretty good job of placing himself directly in the path of the exhaust. and debris. and What You can't see is that the camera is held steady by being placed against the wall. and it's not all exhaust. some of it is dirt from the floor of that filthy shop.

wait...my shop has the filthy floor. the "8 second rule" for food on the floor at Cl***ic jaguar can be extended out to around...I dunno 30-45 minutes.

HA! Picture me sitting on the ground behind the car, next to the wall, when he started stirring up that 5500-rpm **** storm (watching the drag plate flapping around cracks me up!)... but I held that camera steady... COMMITMENT, bro!!

I was ready for that left-side slick to fly apart, tho...

Uh, yeah, I doubt that the Radir slicks are rated to 150 mph.

I've got a couple of years on them. I have some slicks that I'm going to try out at Mokan. Sliding around at 90+mph. on the Radirs at Little River got me thinking...

Here's the new look. And one with a little photomagic from Blake and Nick. Couple of real Yay-Hoos, those two.

Man, that thing was sailing on the dyno! Freaky to have a car hauling that much *** just strapped down. They were pushing yours way harder than mine!

scarier still, Buzzard typically pushes it 2000 r.p.m. harder than that!
