Say it boy! LOL...you boys can get "catty" that is fo sho.
:) I had to laugh...I got a video out my dad gave me 2 yrs ago after my mom died. It was a BBQ at Reasoners 1988 labeled..."Kustomizers at Play" Go figure it was with many; De Rosa Sr., Reasoner, Himsel, Bailon, Conley, Zocchi, Mallard, Hart, Augustine (D'Agostino for those of you who didn't know him by his name prior to name change) and Westburg & Shahagon...all the wives and kids swimming, drinking (heavily cause from video...I don't who the hell drove any of them home!) and lots of 1989 Oakland/Sacramento predictions/barris award predictions and much much shit talk/car talk/more shit talking/joking around. Nothing was negative even with those who had beefs. Bailon was getting a dash from a car of his from 35 years previous. Great laughs...

Point is....All of the guys were being interviewed and were joking around about who & what type of cars were better....I had to laugh when my dad was on there saying how honored he was to be associated with these men and the art of customizing...whatever you do with that word...."Doesn't matter what you build...a ford/chevy/ols/packard/hudson/merc/caddy....You make it YOUR OWN and that is the true beauty!" screw what everyone else thinks on the negative...roll till the wheels fall off outta that positive though!

She gets up and moves like pretty damn good. I was worried because every body said you needed a Big block to move these tanks. well, they were wrong. It's a hell of a lot quicker than I imagined it would have been.

that, and she is "reliable" now...

charles - Great photo of your two Caddy's in the garage. Your right it doesn't take a big block to move a Caddy real well. I have a SBC at 330 hp and it moves my Caddy just fine, after all Caddy's belong in the cruising lanes looking cool. :D

i have my engine in. it fits great with no clearance issues. the swap wasn't difficult and i recommend doing so to anyone that has thought about doing it. i just need to install the radiator/hoses, starter and plug in the wiring and it's ready to be fired up.

its gonna be a mild custom, got whitewalls and custom hubcaps right now. lake pipes are going on soon.

She needs a complete engine rebuild, starting it this weekend.

It's a little newer, but I thought I would throw my 666 deville on here too.

I had not seen that, thanks for the link. My caddy needs work, I would love to go exteme but its just to original (low miles engine, mathcing #s) so I need to keep it more low key so that it could go back to original if need be when/if I sell her.

My dream car is a 59 caddy convert. that I want a full custom on, been close to getting a few just never made the deal in time.

Finally took "Nadine" back to enhanced customs to let Frank c-notch the frame, it's definately as low as I would want to go now.
