You rock man, the 55 and I made it home about 15 minutes ago, what a loooong day!!

Thanks again Von Moldy...I'm really looking forward to getting dirty tommorow.

I went through logan, utah and picked up the 427 this afternoon too, everything looks good there too, so what a kick *** day....

    Heres a couple pics...

The guy standing next to the car is Hamber Von Moldy.

Plans are 427, 4 speed, olds rearend, radius the rear wheeel wells, keping the a arm suspension for now, hugger orange before it snows here, then I can build on it all winter.

O.K. so here is an update, the parts car showed up yesterday, the poor little 55 is almost rusted in half, if you open the back doors you have to pick them up to shut them. Its hilarious. The good news is the muncie turned out to be an M21 close ratio, the shifter is a hurst comp plus and its tight, the 283 in it runs like a freakin champ, its pretty much brand new...

Basically when the car showed up I changed the fuel pump, got it started but the rochester 4 jet was all plugged up, so I threw an old intake and 650 double pumper I had on it. Bled the brakes, put the driveshaft back in and checked all the fluids, then went for a cruise...it runs out pretty decent! Only thing is the rearend is horrible, going to pull the axles tonight and look for bad wheel bearings.

I think I'm going to wheel this 4 door around for a month or two while i get the floors done and quarters radiused on the 2 door.

I also got lucky on the 427 I bought, turned out to be a steel crank to boot!!

So the 2 door from the first post plus this car...

Should give me a good start towards a decent car.
