less than 2 - for supa - I am not sure what the exact number is. I paid 1.85 for regular yesterday

  3. It was down to $1.91 per in Kingman, Arizona couple weeks back.
Took a jump to $2.09 and seems to be staying there.

I just got back from Sunny California - towing the box trailer full of stuff - and it's $2.19 in Central California, $2.49 in Barstow, California (major stop & gas up area for many travelers), $2.59 at Newberry Springs, California (20 miles down the road from Barstow) and $2.69 in Needles, California (just above the Colorado River crossing into Arizona.

    Saw my first $50. fill-up.
No small surprise at 10 mpg running empty and 8.5-9 mpg loaded up.... [IMG]

$2.39 at Marine Street and Manhattan beach Blvd at the 76. Cheapest gas in south bay besides Arco crap.

You'll see me there quite frequently, new car gets 15mpg. [IMG]

.929¢ per litre for the good stuff and .817 ¢ for the cheap stuff.

    That translates to:

$3.36 per gallon for the good stuff and $2.95 for the cheap stuff.

  9. It is anywhere from $1.99 to $2.14 in my area... thats just for regular. Diesel is around $2.10-$2.25 here

Just this week my girl and I have been watching the station on our corner. When we leave for work it's X. When we come home from work it's X + $.10. Wich is just highway robbery, as the price for 87 is $2.50 in price gouge SF, CA.

    Just curious...
How much of that is tax and what does the tax pay for?
Is it earmarked for road repair? The government run car insurance subsidy? or does it just go into the general fund and dissappear?

I'm curious what the per gallon of regular costs in these "swing states" right now. We already know whatthe difference is between Texas and California...

Anyone got a report from the following?
    1. Arizona
    2. Arkansas
    3. Colorado
    4. Florida
    5. Iowa
    6. Louisiana
    7. Maine

Every year I attend the Run to the Sun in Lake Havasu Az, I always am amazed at the gas price in Needles CA, it's about .50 cents more than anywhere else. Wonder what gives? reminds me of the speed traps they had in the south in the 50's and '60's Seems the idea is "because we can" I also always watch for the speed trap there , something like 55 mph to 25 mph in a short distance looks like a form of revenue for them. Will be going through there next Mon. and watching MY SPEED!!!! LOL

But isn't the European economy already taking high fuel costs into account?

Here everything is priced based on cheap fuel, and when it jumps rapidly like this, it wreaks havoc.

The price of fuel affects getting goods delivered to markets and has an affect on the prices of those goods more than personal transportation. Raise fuel cost, everything else goes up in price too.
Inflation, or loss of profit to the goods merchant.
So think about driving distances necessary to deliver goods.
Paris to Munich is only about as far as Santa Monica California to Tucson Arizona... The next State to the East.
There's about 5 more of those drives between there and New York!

How much of the French or UK gallon is for taxes and not the price or cost of the gas??

2.39 premium in Santa Fe 2.09 in Albuquerque.

None of this is based on cost. It's all based on speculation and fear, tied I'm sure to oil companies in the US that just love the way this works. In Caracus Venezuela, just 6 months ago, people were paying .14 cents a gallon. Venezuela is the 4th largest oil producer and refiner. The oil companies there are owned by the citizens that pay according to the cost of production. So if production is that low in cost without our clean air laws and taxes. What is the production cost here? If our laws cause it to be even 200% more, it should still be way less than a $1.00 a gallon! What in the @&^!%@ are we paying for???

And these U.S. all time record high price's come from 2 'leader's' whose long, deep connection's to the 'energy industry' is a blantant, legal rape of all consumer's.As well as the intellegence of Amerikan's who do not have blind faith in their leader.
