For all the nay sayers out there you need to walk the mile in Alan's shoes. I've seen him at several shows studying what makes them successful and asking what folks think and enjoy when they go to a show. I think he and his wife do a pretty good job with the resources available to them. There's a fairly substantial financial risk involved as well.

Wasn't this the first Billetproof Texas?
Shows are what the participants make them. I think if you can't have a good time at a Billetproof show there's something more amiss than the show or the type of cars there.

I saw Skratch plying his trade in a few pics, the trophys looked killer, Frankie appears hard at work, as does Bwana Alan and the all folks in the pics appear to be having a good time with each other's company.
So, what made it a bad show? Too many (dare I say it?) RR's? Enlighten these builders with examples of your own work and lift their standards.
Geeman's Ford isn't too hard to look at and there are several other examples in this series of pics worthy of note for sure.

So, thanks for the pics, John. If we were closer we would be there, without a doubt.

Actually to set the record completely straight. . .I didn't do diddly squat. . .Honestly. . .

Props have to go out to my Mom & Dad for making our club trophy. . .I showed up at their house a week before BP, with a handful of random leftover Edsel parts, and charged them with making our trophy and they got straight to work. Dad built a seat, Mom made the little custom seat with the embroidered "Best Interior" inset panel, Dad ***embled everything, Mom sewed up the fabric surround on the bottom. . .then Dart (KreaturesCC) was kind enough to letter it for us. . .Fat Lucky donated the springs. . .

    I didn't do a dayum thing :)

Its funny how different peoples' coverage of a show can be so different. I look at your post and it makes me want to attend. Cool shots.

    john,as allways,killer pictures.

as for the show,i thought it was great for the first year.yes there are some things that need fixing before next year.

all i can say is,if you live anywhere near giddings,tx. and don't support this show,i don't want to hear "i wish we had more shows in texas!"

stop your whinning and show up next time.
