Can someone please help me with my 28 Model A rumble hinge position, my roadster rear is glass, I have a repo hinge kit however I am not sure how far up the lid the hinge should attach. I need a measurement from the the lower lip to the first hole that the hinge screws to.
One of you lucky blokes with an all steel car should be able to put a tape on one for me.
    Thanks

Your glass lid should have dimples on the sides of the inner skin where the hinges go.You should be able to mock up your lid with duct tape and shims and mark with a bent scribe through the holes in the hinges. If your lid does not have the factory type dimples, the hinges wont work because the geometry will be off.

    Thanks
My deck has no inner skin, its a very budget glass body. Thats why I need the measurement.

on mine, from the lip of the lid skin it's 7 3/4" - 11 3/4" to the center of the bolts. Not saying it's right, since I just picked up this body and the previous owner hacked my poor A all to hell, but it opens and closes nicely.
