1938 Pontiac info needed

I just bought a 38 Pontiac 6 from another member and the hood and grill are missing. There is a hood for sale on ebay but I'm not sure if the Pontiac 6 and Pontiac 8 used the same hood. Were they the same? if not does anyone any measurements. Any pics of a 38 Pontiac hood to help with visual ID? Thanks, Ed

 

this is a picture of a buddy 38 coupe i will see him mon. at a cruze i will try and get the size of hood for you he may know if the 6 and 8 had the same hood

Isn't the chrome strip different down the middle of the hood between the 6 and 8 models?

 

The six has a 117 inch wheelbase, the eight 122, and I'm thinking it's safe to ***ume that the added length is ahead of the firewall for the longer eight cylinder engine.

 

Anybody got a Pontiac 6 hood they can measure right up the chrome strip in the middle to give me reference?
