i have purchased a 1938 ford 1 ton pickup and the steering column and box were in the bed. I don't believe this box is for a 1938 truck as the column support doesn't mount to the dash correctly. Can anyone help identify this column? the part number cast onto the box is 33525 * 2.

I'm no help but I can tell you that I bought a 32 big truck steering box thinking it was a 1/2 ton box. It is very hard to tell looking at them on a blue tarp unless you have a known specimen next to it to compare the slight critical measurements.

That is a strange one. The housing looks like an F-100 but the sector looks like 37-48 p***. The F-100 sector is bigger in dia. so the earlier sector will not fit the housing. F-250? or some 50's big truck? Need a size comparison

Show the flip side. Also, I can't tell but ***ume that column can be slid off, clamp is missing?? Almost but not F1 in appearance. Might be 1940's big series truck.

Thanks for everybody's help and for all who would like to know,

As per Vern Tardel's Ford steering booklet (available through Speedway motors), this box is a 1940-1952 ford truck box. the pictures in the booklet look identical to what I have pictures.
