I found it on a Google search, and stayed on because of the old skool rods. I found the HAMB to be a nice change from the normal type of rod sites. Like other FNG's out there I don't post just to post. I have read a post that new guys don't read the post rules, I have been "coached" by a moderator once also. I consider myself a car guy not so much a forum guy, I wasn't aware of these rules to post. We can't forget that we need new guys to make old guys.

I thik if you are into this stuff at all,at least several people will egg you on to join.Thats what happened to me.I came to this website and as you said was a lurker, afraid to join for a long time because I read that if you screw someone around, they will hunt you rellentlesly and smear your name.I have been falsely accused in my lifetime and right or wrong this stuff stays on the internet forever. You have to be very careful with your reputation. After a while of watching I reallized this is a good group and they give you some slack and that you would have to really be a Jerk for them to come after you.I am glad to be here and tell all other hot rodders the same!

I found every time I did a google photo search on a cool car/part/subject the source was always a HAMB post…eventually I just came straight to look at photos…that lead to actually reading to some of the posts & since I’m truly only moved by old school car stuff I was diggin what I was reading…and you can’t go too long as a lurker before you feel you have to jump in!

found it through killbillet a while back. been an off-and-on lurker since then... maybe 2 years. went to GG Puyallup a couple weeks ago and saw the HAMB shirts and remembered about it. Selling off my 79 Ramcharger in hopes of picking up a pre-66 truck (i know quite vague) to work on.

I happened across the site while googling misc stuff for my recently acquired 53 chevy project. I've built everything from monster stereo competition vehicles, lifted trucks, minitrucks, lowriders, misc show cars, etc etc over the years but always wanted to get into rats/hotrods so I'm assuming I'm a lifer here now :D

A friend of mine told me about this site. Some of these posts have been useful to me and others are just good reading. I plan to stay around for a while and one of these days I'll get rid of the FNG label.

I was a young pup to this craft just a few years ago. The guy who taught me was into rods but not necessarily traditional. Well he made the mistake of taking me to the Roundup #3. I saw stuff with the hamb on it and lurked in the darkness for years. I have now acquired enough knowledge to know that traditional is my true love. I have loved and owned many cars but are just starting my plight into tradional. Hope I can contribute knowledge and learn from the tru masters.

Stumbled across the HAMB around 2007 and lurked for good while. Joined a little over a year ago and have learned alot since then. Although I havent posted much, I visit the HAMB daily and have met some great people. I plan on being a HAMBer for long time, tons of knowledge from people who share the same passion as me. Keep it crankin

I found the HAMB through the Jockey Journal. Ive got a '56 Chevy PU that is the "next project" once I get all my 2-wheeled projects finished. I don't post much over here, but I do read as much as I can.

A friend of mine found it when he was working on his truck... I signed up, but mostly just lurked around for the first while, until recently.

Have been going to as many car shows as I can ever since I have had a licence and working on cars my hole life. I first hear about the HAMB in 2007 at Viva Las Vegas. The wife and I went to Vegas for a convention her company was having, we stayed at the Rio across the street from the show. Me and one of my buddies had alot of time to kill so we hung out over at the Gold Coast as much as we could. Saw alot of HAMB shirts and tags on cars, so i figured I would check it out. Have been lurking since then and finally decided to join up. I love old cars and drag racing so this place is pretty much right up my alley. I plan on staying, becoming an Alliance Member and trying to find some locals to hang out with.

I have 3 mid 60's Pontiacs and a 63 chevy truck. Have always been in love wth 30's and 40's cars but have never found the right deal to be able to own one, I hope to cange that soon. I will quit droning on now.

I found it through a 1/8 scale model car site. Guys were using you guys for ref. photos for the Revell deuce and T. Now I spend more time here than on the 1/8 scale stuff.

I guess i'm still a FNG post wise.. but I found her back in the days when there were only 4 sites on the internet.. I think I came across jj when I looking for shots of work done by an Artist named Dennis McPhail (Artist At Large). I did a colouring on one of his pieces for an album cover (deadbolt, voodoo trucker) I've been a huge fan of his work ever since.

While at the local watering hole I ran into a guy I knew in high school, he is a member. I told him about my chopped 30' coupe I'm building (very slowly) and he told me about the site. I lurked for about a year and then registered. This stuff has been in my blood since I was a little kid so I don't plan on leaving.

I was getting a lot of answers to google searches here. I live in a place with very few people willing to help the younger guys trying to build older stuff. When i was looking for help I found this site wonderful...so i joined. THANKS to all that help. All the old time rodders around my part guard their secrets and then knock on those trying to learn........THEY SUCK

I was looking for '64 Colony Park pic's via google.... And I found one with lots of foto's in the "cars for sale" part. From that point I keep on coming back.
