These are from my last visit at the end of October or start of November with the first snow. Just to make you Cali and Texas people feel good!
I have a few more from yesterday that I will post this evening.

The one in the shed? It is an RPU. I should have used flash in there. Give him a call, number in last reply.

how does the ***LE thing work on these cars......

  16. I think I'll be calling Mr. Harrison and suggesting he open up some of that acreage to camping..., and then I'll put in for a "Lifetime" membership.

Of course, I'll add in a "pick of the litter" clause for those who choose the "Lifetime" membership option. Being a Minn/Canadian transplant to Cali I can atest to how many of those type of "yards" were/still are huddled beneath the trees in the "Frozen North" (Beauuty, Eh?). Just wish I wasn't such a "muscle car only" type growing up.

Can't remember how many trips to the wooded outback ended up just using these cars for target shooting back in the 60's and 70's (still have some physical/emotional scars from farmer Jone's salt pellets...OUCH!, RUN!).
    I'm so ashamed ;).

In terms of number of cars it is around four or five hundred cars. Almost all of them are pre seventies. They are mostly in one field with a few others and the spares on an adjacent site.

I didn't see any in your pictures, but if you come across any '42 DeSotos, please share the pictures. A Hamb'r is restoring one. The black '60 Dodge 2dr HT is probably worth saving, as are the '55-56 Mercs. Great yard!

Here is a '42 DeSoto... very distinctive 1yr only front end.

I had a PM about the Chevy coupe by the gate. Here are a few more pictures of it.
Also a couple of other cars nearby including another Chevy coupe with original independent front suspension. Apparently a one year design due to its weight?
I have a few more pictures of the suspension that I will post later.

I saw this one, though not in the field. If this is not the one, give him a call.

Also see post #55 first two images

  30. Did the gentleman say how he came to have all these cars, is it an old wrecking yard, a personal collection or a many years of lost and stranded American tourist?
