Any Southern Ontario Hambers going to Cayuga for the ONDR/Right Coast drags this Saturday? I hear it's free if you're not racing your Hot rod, a few bucks if you are. I'll be there with the orange and black '34 - look me up.
I'm totally there. Hope that they have a better run then at the St Thomas Drags a few weeks back. I think a couple organizer guys from the ONDR are on the HAMB so maybe they can confirm the pricing. I think that would be good I have heard different pricing from a couple different sources now. I plan on being there with a couple friends and a couple cars. Crossing fingers on the weather! J
When they were at Grand Bend a few weeks ago it was free if you were just showing your car. Good racing. They also had 1/8 mile drags for "street rods" and you didn't need to go through tech inspection.
Just a heads up to anybody going Recent events has had the Police there nailing cars for anything they can get on them Hopefully they won't spoil the party , again
Hi Guys; Yes,car and driver are FREE for the car show deal..Spectator pays 15 bucks.. This IS an ONDR event with Kenny Holmes from Right Coast offering to look after the car show for us.. For the Street Rod Shoot out..pay 10 bucks at the car show booth..100% goes back toward the purse. You'll get time trails, just like everyone else..but it's only 1/8 mile.. DOT tires, and you MUST have driven it in..No trailered hot rods with 14" slicks .It's about having fun.. it's the same program we run at Grand Bend. Forget what you saw in St Thomas.. See ya at the track. Rick ONDR guy
Nice Rick! Thanks for the info man! I think this is going to be a great day! Can't wait. Might even blast the 55 down the track once. Hmmmmm.. Maybe I should wait for my Tach! J
Rick, Is the street rod shoot out going on for both Sat and Sun? Do you have a link to a schedule? I will make sure that I make my way to the ONDR trailer and introduce myself. Jay
g***er kid; SATURDAY only... ONDR guys may stay over Sunday and do a Gambler style race.. This is our first crack at doing an event with Cayuga, other than coming in and running our regular program. Rick
I'm planning on going down in my '62 Mercury Meteor, along with a friend in his '63 Ford Fairlane. I hope the weather station is wrong, but I think this weekend is calling for showers & thunderstorms... Tom - Gl***_Packs
Rick, Thanks for putting on a great event. Too bad about Saturday afternoon rain but overall had a real good time! Looking forward to the next ONDR event. J
g***erkid; damn rain killed the second round..I dialed 11;40 and ran 11;403, first rd... was looking forward to second round.. Thanks to all you guys who braved the weather to come out.. Sure,we'll did it again, NEXT yr.. Rick
By the way Rick, when is the next event? I really wanted to run the chevy down the strip but I think it is a little too soon for that. Still need to work out some kinks. J
55g***er--not many ONDR races left--I really enjoyed the street rods cruising through the pits on their way to the car show area. This was our first kick at the can in Cayuga and I'm sure next year will be bigger and better. here's our schedule fore the rest of the season http://www.fastpast.ca/schedule.htm
I second that, good job ONDR! Here's some pictures I shot of some cool cars at the meet: Here's a couple videos I shot with the camera (sorry about the ****ty quality): Thanks! Tom - Gl***_Packs
Good old Mike (Ragtop) spanking Kenny at the track....lol......thanks again Mike for making it to the shop party Sat. nite in London.
Great event. Too bad about the rain but We had to leave then anyhow to do the Hartman's garage deal. Nice day. Next year I'll be attending a lot more of these ONDR events. Thanx to Rick and Kenny.
ONDR is in St Thomas next Saturday. it's our rained out Hot Rod Reunion date from July.. Hope to see you guys there.. Rick 1939fiat
