Went and picked up this 1949 303 Olds from Hamber Eternal31 last weekend in Montana. Then picked up a tripower for it from Hamber Justin B. Got it in the mail today, took some carbs off the shelf and VIOLA!! Now I gotta figure out what to put it in. For now it'll sit next to the other engine with no current home. Thats it, nothing too special

Ho Humm, yeah not much!! Only the coolest hot rod motor of all times with the orig. valve covers now imitated for want-to-be motors, and that crummy 3-2 set up with those dumb scoop things on it. But what the heck, it will be ok till you get somethin better!! Love the style on the flatty, purr-fect Killer Dude!! Yikes!! ~Sololobo~

    Chris,

Cant go wrong with an olds motor. I going to start collecting vintage motors again, im nervous that this cash for clunkers is some how going to affect the availability of them.

I'll admit I have WAY too many of those! Most are the early 32-36 strait cut gears

Looks cool Chris but your not helping my decision. When you post Rocket **** you had to realize what it would do to me. Although that flathead looks tasty there too.

Let me know when you're selling it.

I am 5 mins from boarding the plane to Utah typing on my iPhone. I wish you were going dude. I'm almost positive I could have gotten you blitzed enough to sell me that flathead.

Too cool. I sooooo wish I was going with the roadster!

You don't really want that flatty. It's a 1934 babbit bearing engine. It is completly new inside, though ;)

It's going to end up in the roadster, no home for the Olds yet. Stuffing it in the 33 is tempting, we'll see....

    Chris,

"Nothing too special" huh? - How about you just stay the hell out of Montana, we don't need your kind cherry picking the good stuff back to the other side of the divide.:D

At least its better than a SBC with olds valve covers!

Nice find, looking forward to an update when you figure out what its going in.
