being the FNG that i am, i gotta ask... what are HAMB dates/years? saw it in a couple of other posts. btw - that place is heaven on earth.... oh to have an endless wallet and the worlds biggest effin trailer! haha
It is his living, but also I believe his p***ion, so he is choosy about what he takes in. He has his own rods and is working on an A RPU for himself. He also supports events such as the Road Kill Rod-Up on Sunday the 16th of August at Ryall Park in Carmen, Manitoba for pre '65 cars.
From the cl***ified section: "Traditional hot rod & customs cars for sale. 1964 and under only fellas.." I imagine that frames it?
3D boneyard So here is an experiment. IF it does not work I will try and re-size it so it works. It works on my computer before the download. Edit: it is quite large to resolve without lorgnettes (3D gl***es) so try the one below first I can resolve the one below quite easily without lorgnettes. Go cross eyed while looking at the doors in the centre of each image (in fact the same door). Try to resolve the two doors one over the other. Do not worry about them being in focus at first. Try to relax and if you have the images one over the other they should slowly form into focus and reveal the image in 3D. Just be a little patient for the thing to form. Give it a go. If you are having difficulty try with the thumbnail first. IF it posts too large I will post a smaller one. I can resolve this one without help, but have to sit back from the computer to do it.
The fargo and meteor(Star model Customline) are the same as Australian versions as well......I think we sourced the cars from canada cheaper cause the canadians are part of the commonwealth.
I think that they called that "Knee Action". Had one on our 38 Chevy tow car in the 50's and it seemed to leak and mal-function all the time. We flat towed a 27 T roadster powered by a Hudson straight 8 for the dirt tracks.
What's the weather like there that allowed those cars to stay relatively intact despite being stored outdoors? Low humidity?
The Hudson looks not to bad.. 2 dr at that.. Cool.. just had me thinking of how many people ask if a Chopped Merc is a Hudson.. I wonder if they would ask if that old Hudson was a Merc.. thanks for the picts..
It gets a little chilly during the winter, down to around -40c but mostly around -20c, and is very dry. The summers are normally hot and dry. Not this year.
Those are some of the cleanest, most complete, vintage cars in a 'junkyard' that I've seen. I gotta figure he wants a pretty penny to break those up, there just isn't much missing from them!!!
Last year at Bonneville me and my buddies were camping at the bend in the road and Bill Harrison(owner of the yard) was our neighbor,he seemed like a nice guy and he gave me a catalog of his yard and a business card to,the catalog is just a listing of the cars and parts available but no pics!
Yes, Bill is a great guy and knows about his cars. Here are some pictures of the yard on my first visit, December 07, to give an idea of the conditions there in winter. I have a few more that I will post later.
...what I wouldn't give, for those fenders on the T Sedan in the 3rd set of photos down, or that little 26-27 Roadster pickup body...
