Here is a little preview of the new Rolls & Pleats magazine, issue 32. Of course a 32 Ford needed to be on the cover and Jack Carroll's 5 window coupe fit the bill perfectly. Also features of Mark Ford's awesome Hemi powered Model A coupe, South Austin Speedshop tour, Round-up coverage etc. Jerry Desvaux does a great job putting this little mag together, and I'm just proud to be a small part of it. Check it out here http://pagesperso-orange.fr/jpdesvauxlavandou/rnp_cont32.htm
I can't ****IN' wait!!!!!!!Looks ****** GREAT as always. The BEST Hot Rod and Custom magazine on the market! Nick.
Sweet! two of our builds in one issue...and Carroll's flathead deuce on the cover?! Killer.... T.Hilton
Thanks Chris, I really appreciate! Your photos are insanely good. The mag's going to press right now, and should be out in a week.
Rolls & Pleats have been on a roll by just getting better w/ every magazine they put out!! Jack's Coupe on the pages of a magazine is long over due. He built it himself & drives it hard!! one of my favorite people to drive with & a great guy! Proud of you Jack!!....
Cool pic on our club brother Roger's blue 54 chevy. Can't wait to get the mag! Hey Gregg! Your ride looks great too.
O/T Hey Frank! saw you this morning on the 170 at Magnolia around 9:10am in your truck....see you this Weds. for the Van Nuys Blvd. Cruise. Congrats on Rogers 54 coverage. Looking forward to seeing the New issue of Rolls & Pleats #32
LOL! Awe man you missed it. I was on fast lane behind this POS saturn coming from the 101 and BOOM!!! pieces were flying out from under car and thick black smoke. Got the hell out of the way. That's probably the moment you saw me.
Love Rolls & Pleats... shame you cant find it when you want it. I always have to wait for a show...then the guy is out of it by time I get there. Subsript? Magneto too... Chris, didn't realize you were working for them, good deal... Yo Rudog.... what up? Nicotene find his toof yet? Miss you mad men... see ya soon. Man, Jack's car looks *****in.... what a guy too, Jersey boy. Congrats Jack... Hope to see you all soon. I need a Rolls & Pleats...
Oh thanks, I appreciate the kind words. Jack's car is my all time favorite 32, it needed to be seen by more people, that's why proposed the idea to R&P. I'm actually surprised that, non of the "big" magazines, have done any features on his car. Hint, hint. I've been taking alot of pictures, for R&P the last two years or so. BTW, you should have a stack of Rolls & Pleats and Magneto, at the Motor Speedway in Englishtown, so people can get them there.
Thanks for posting this Chris - I've known about the mag for a while, but it's not something I'm going to find this end of the world, so I just ordered a bunch (new one plus the last 4 issues). Going to have it for sale at car shows etc down here, and hopefully I can stir up enough interest to make it an ongoing thing. Lord knows we need to be reading something other than Street Rodder and OSR in this neck of the woods, if we are ever going to get some decent cars out Barry
Thanks Chris and Jerry for including me, the Red Fox and "The Hussy" in this issue. I will certainly have a lot to remember my first LSR by. I'm stoked! As usual guys it looks great!!!!
This is True.. I told Coby from Church, Matt from Dice, Flash from Mag., With all us busy guys, it is sometimes hard to dot the I's and cross the T's... Hahahaa. Someday I'll be prepared. Look forward to this issue... See ya soon Chris, I was planning to be there in a few days, but have to wait for a big tool delivery I've been waiting for. See ya soon though... Sometime in Oct. looks like, cant wait.
Should be, thanks. Cool, thanks for ordering, there are a bunch of other cool magazines out, you guys in South Africa might like. Church, Magneto, Traditional Rod & Kulture, Dice, Hop-up, the Rodders Journal, all good stuff. I wish I could have taken more shots of your car. I'll see you at next year's Round-up. Thanks man That big louver press, finally showing up?? Gonna be cool, to have you, in Burbank in October, see ya then.
Magazines arrived and I was as blown away as I expected to be. So far the reaction in the other guys I've gotten copies to seems about the same!! Great job all involved! I subscibe to TRJ, and would like to get hold of some of the others too. Our weak exchange rate and notorious "short arms - deep pockets" syndrome makes it tough to get people to spend money on the stuff that isn't heavily discounted from the mainstream publishers. I did have a good reaction to a bunch of Vintage Torque DVD's I brought in too though, so I'll keep plugging away and trying to bring people to a little less streetroddy way of thinking Barry
