and more Those were 3 differant 36 Binders. There is also an extra cab 1932 1/2 ton pickup complete with bed and rear fenders 1963 Travelette complete with a 304 1938 D2 I bought all of the 1936 stuff along with a NOS Grill A real good day
Awesome! One minor correction: that's a Travelall, not a Travelette. The Travelette was a pickup (crewcab, I believe).
There were some K trucks also, I just didn't snap any pictures. Next trip down I will get some. Keith
Aw man, the Travelall pictures hurt my heart! Bought a '62 for $200 some years back (same body style but single headlights). Had the 345 V8, would NOT pass up a gas station, but was awfully cool to cruise in. Life got in the way and I had to sell it. Made a profit, but still ........
Thats a C line Travellall. My Granda had one when I was a kid. I canada we had a 1/4 ton truck called a C99 short wheelbase shortbox.
I found an old bender out in a orchard around here, most likely a 36' i just gotta remember the intersection it was at so i can go ask the owner about it.
This is one sweet ride. All of the glass is good, no rust on the floors, real nice hitch and it still has the clear seat covers like our grand parents put on the couches when we were kids. I didn't get a price but I know it is for sale. The rear wheel well do need some attention, but not to bad.
the late 30's Binders have to be one of the best looking trucks ever made. I've always wanted to rod one with a built up 392. IH are like a bad disease once they get in you, you can't get them out "not even with therapy"
George, I don't know if it is what you are talking about, but I have a 63 C-900 which is a 6 foot bed stepside.
Bought this truck in 1971. My fist vehicle. 1948 KB 2 Flat six, 4 speed no sycros. Taught me how to shift correctly. Used it for 2 years. I drove it across the prairies in winter. 2 1/2 gals of 50w oil. Took her out to the Winnipeg Beach one weekend and she never came back. Fuel pump failed and I left it parked at my friends cottage. It then became the beach truck to be used only in the summer for fun. Tough life eh? We all grew up and moved away and left the truck stored beside a barn. A year ago I was asked if I wanted it and I could not see building it. This forum has had me thinking about that truck so I picked up the phone. Truck went to a new home a month ago. Not meant to be. These photos where taken in 1982 The shifter knob was missing. Transparent with Moon Eyes inside. I saw a Green 1/2 ton Panel with gold spin striping in Vancouver years ago. I liked that panel. It would make a great custom .The lines on the upper side panels were cool.
In 1937 there were 2 styles. some looked like 34-36 and some looked like 38-39. In 40 there were 2 styles also. some looked like 38-39 and some looked like 40 and up. Your trucks sheet metal is the same as 37 -39 and some 40s. That's as clear as mud
Keith, I got laid off...again...3rd time in 2 years...so the shop truck is a no-go for me for awhile...this economy is murdering me...they waited until after I bought my house to let me go, so that was nice...
Adam, sorry to hear about your shitty run of luck. Have faith our new Pres is going to fix everything
I found out from an expert on Internationals that this one is a 32 or 33 built by Willys and re badged International.
