This is a bit off topic, but a friend of our family just lost her mother in Flint, Mi. She needs to get her mom's Chevy Trailblazer from Flint to the Austin, Tx area. Any of you Michigan area folks interested in a free drive to the HAMB drags. If you drove the Trailblazer down, we'd pay fuel costs. Unfortuantely, U'd have to find a way back home. Any takers?
i may be able to help you from joplin to dallas. i have to run down to dallas sept 6th for a wedding. if someone could maybe get it to joplin for the drags i may be able to relay it down south?
What year Trailblazer is it? Also what is the closest airport to Joplin? I may be able to drive down from Flint... Let me know. Thanks
theres a little airpot in joplin, other then that that tulsa(tul) will be the cheapest, about 2hrs away.springfield(sgf) is about 1 hr away or try northwest arkansas(xna) which is about 1.5 hrs away.
If you can get it to Chicago we could probably take it to Joplin. We are leaving next Wednesday and going to Springfield and St Louis along the way.
Catherine, when will you be in stl? We driving leaving around 3 on thursday to head down to the drags.
Catherine, I may have it worked out to Joplin with LoBrow. I have a couple of options to Texas including ryno's offer above. Thanks folks and I'll keep you posted.
Nuts! We are going to be there Thursday night. We are doing the Illinois State Fair on Wednesday, get drunk in St Louis on Thursday (our annual tradition), and head to Joplin on Friday morning... we obviously don't need to go to the swap meet.
Damn Catherine! We'll have to coordinate our schedules next time you come down here! Oh and by the way, at the drags I need to talk to you about a little Chicago trip that a certain Nick32vic might be taking late October. haha
okey doke! you know you guys are always welcome at Casa del Catherine And you can buy Lonestar in Chicago
Well, the first arrangement fell thru. I'm bumping this to the top for one last try. Free transportation to the HAMB Drags from the Flint, Mi. area. You just need to drive and get a ride home.
I checked w/ enterprise and it's about $400 for a one way rental from Joplin to Chicago. (they charge for mileage) So, if you were able to get the trailblazer to Chicago by Tuesday, we could drive it down and get a one way rental back. We were already going to rent a car for $125 round trip here, so if you want to pay the difference we could do it. The upside is you wouldn't have to pay for our gas since we would have been paying for that anyhow. I know it's not ideal, but thought I'd toss it out there.
Thanks for the offer Catherine, but I just got it all worked out. I appreciate your willingness to help.
