Event Coverage South Tacoma Alley Rally 2009 !!

I'll be there but again without wheels!! My main cars are 1968 Firebird 400s but will be flying in the Hemi powered 1929 Whippet some day!!!

 

hope it doesn't rain ( oops the "r" word !) should have my seat back tomarrow and in the Merc !

Hows the parking for a plain jane car not in the show like? I'm planning on coming down around 2:30 Saturday.

 

there is plenty of room around the show... there are plenty of back streets where business are not open on saturdays, no excuse not to come... bring your camera!

Well I arrived at The Alley Rally at about 330 Saturday (today and had an altercation with some ***** of a woman. I was looking for some parking and nosed past this truck and the couple walking on the sidewald were stopped by my car at least 5 feet away. I am driving my Jag as my daily driver but have the cool cars at home. Anyway, this broad goes apeship and say some comment about a ****ing Jag owner ****. So I said I'm sorry, I didnt see them. Remember 5 feet away? It was no big deal. She went on and on so I started yelling back to her to shut her Pie hole!! She raged on as her boyfriend was saying to her to let it go as I am alot bigger than him and a woman with a fowl mouth like that acting like a 4th grader wouldnt even listen to her boyfriend. My 300 lb buddy was ready to shut her pie hole himself. Anyway. She finally called me a ****ing douchbag and went on her merry way.LOL!! Little did she know I was attending the same show as her. So we went to the show and I saw her a few times and I was tempted to say something to her boyfriend but figured it wasn't worth it but she eye balled me a few times during the show but didn't murmer a word. Let me tell you, my 210 lb frame felt like going up to her 145+ lb midget round frame and saying You've got the biggest pie hole and Im one lucky guy to hear such flattery and just because I drive a Jag doesn't mean Im not one of the biggest car enthusiasts that is alive and not just some rich Jag owner which I know she thought that I was.
Its funny because its a 1993 all black Jag that was $5,000 8 years ago. Anyway I just had to laugh about it as the People in Tacoma have spoken, "I'm a ****ing Douche bag"!!! LOL!!
Actually I got there just in time for the Burn out contest and Bikini contest and as usual the cars were great!! Pictures will be posted later and as far as that ugly *** fowl mouthed 4th grader. Please shut your PIE HOLE.

PS, I was the only one that I saw wearing a HAMB shirt!!
Also if you are the boyfriend of this PH, I'd get rid of her ASAP. She aint pretty and she doesn't listen to you. DUMP HER UGLY ***!!! LOL!

I had a good time and here are the pictures I promissed. I had half of them uploaded and then hit the back ****on so I have to start from the start. So I'll post the pictures on my next post.

I probably missed a few as I wasn't there for that long but enjoyed what I saw. I bet this will be bigger next year and if it were sunnier and not so many things going on, it would be huge. I got up at 6:00 AM after going to bed at 1:30 AM and had to serve over 700 people at a huge show in Monroe and bailed out of there at 2:00 PM and drove to Tacoma and took these and then headed back to my computer to post them soooooo I am hot tubbing and hitting the sack !! Thanks again for all that put this show on!!

No I don't and no it isn't. It actually only has the very rear hooked up. The front isn't hooked up either. It was different!!

 

It belongs to my buddy paul. Its a 1944 Dodge WC 6x6 troop carrier frame, turned upside down so the axles are on top of the frame. The front driver and steer axle arent hooked up, and the rear drivers has a flipped, custom geared 3rd member. Its powered by a 250 chevy 6 hooked up to a powerglide. Neat thing is that it has 2 master cylinders; one for the front and one hand operated for the back because the brakes use 3/8ths brake line, and he couldnt find a big enough master cylinder

Pauls a neat fella, and its a very well built car. He also restores vintage rolls royce's, and has one that has the big ugly billet wheels on it for the sheer purpose of ******* off other restorers

I had a great time, just didnt stay long. It was alot smaller that i had envisioned.

 

first set of rear wheels aren't hooked up to any transfer case or trans. free wheeling axle, were the ring and pinion would be it's blocked off. Fun rig ! wonder how it handles and rides?

 

Battery took a dive early, my pals 40 Ford Tudor, etc.

He says that since it was military, it has no adjustments for the front steering linkage, and the only reason it goes straight is because of the extra set of wheels in the back
