Is anyone reproducing a Hexagon Tool & Machine Company Air Cleaner for the flathead ford? I read somewhere that someone in California is making them but I cannot find any additonal info. I am getting ready to fire up my rebuilt 1950 Flathead V8 Merc engine soon and thought it would be an incredible final touch! Specs on my engine for anyone who cares, is NOS 1951 block (got extremely lucky finding it for $500 still in cosmoline), Merc 4" crank, stock rods, Std bore, EAB iron heads, Max-1 Isky cam, and offy regular with two brand new 97s from Reds (carbs are perfect and worth the price). Please feel free to post any other suggestions on air cleaners other than usual $15 chrome jobs (want something unusual on top that still breaths well). I sincerely appreciate the help. This is my first flathead engine build and I am loving it! It is going into my 1950 F1 pickup that has a near perfect all steel original body.

    Thanks,
    Josh

hexagon tool air cleaner may not fit your intake, the hexagon tool intake has the carbs mounted backwards. the guy who makes them is cali is richard williams he makes alot of cool air cleaners, i think he can do custom carb spacing to match your intake. sent you a pm with his email

i think lonewolf is right, i checked my hexagon and spacing is 5" center to center of carbs. I don't remember the offy spacing but pretty sure it is different. However somebody may be reproducing with other carb spacing.

generally ( not all though) the regular dual intake spacing is 4 3/4 there are some that are wider apart though.
