Event Coverage Symco shakedown car show pics

  1. I am trying to count registrations right now....looks like we had over 80 paid camp sites. We had at least 30 swappers, 25+ commercial vendors. I don't have the numbers in on vehicles yet, but Steve said he counted 199 cars on the grounds on Sat afternoon and another 49 or something in the VIP lot.
I am positive that if it would have stayed as nice as it was on Thursday, we would have been screwed. We reached just to our breaking point for workers on Sat, the rain Friday and Sat kept a lot of cars and spectators at home......those of you who were there found out that this show is RAIN OR SHINE!!! We have TONS of indoor space and the rain actually made the show more fun as we all hung out in the dance hall and Unionville Saloon. I am going to try to upload some video tonight for you guys

i just want to give a big BIG thanks to my parking crew. YOU GUYS DID AN AMAZING JOB. we'd have been screwed blued and tatood without you guys... some of these guys did 6-10 hours parking cars on friday, and another 4-6 on saturday... dedication!

i know im going to miss some names here, but PM me if i leave you out, and remind me what you look like... im shitty with names!

Oshkosh Rob (congrats on your new colors too bro), Mark, Hank, Jim, Joe... shit, like i say there are another SOLID half dozen guys who busted ass ALL DAY friday and then half the day sat. i remember ALL your faces, where you were workin and how much you busted your asses, i just cant remember a face.

one last shout out to the gator taxi, gopher, chauffer, maid, peeon and bringer of cold water, Louver Dude... thanks brother, you kept us all from fallin over of thirst out there on the hill

  4. It was a HUGE success because of YOU guys.....seriously! I was almost in tears quite a few times this weekend....I absolutely love my friends....but not in a gay way. This was by far one of the best times I have ever had.

I have been in this all my life. Best car show I have been to. To be able to see all the stuff I want in a collection but can't afford or have space for was truely a blessing. History needs to be shared and preserved like it is by the utc.
I feel very fortunate to have attended and plan to make this an annual family camping event.
Lets all do our part in attending by respecting the utc grounds to keep this going indefinitely!
My son loved the school house.

GREAT show! I drove through about 4.5 hours of rain (and .5 hours with no rain) and got there around 11... just in time for it to get hot! It was worth it! You folks did one helluva a nice job. It was great seeing all the nice cars and occassionally seeing a lumbering steam-powered tractor roll by, or hear the giant diesel engine fire up in the engine room. The mini bike drags (with flag girls) was awesome! And the roller derby girl dunk tank was a fun addition!

  15. I think that would be me.

    I don't remember. Was I even there...??? :D

yeah, you were there, and I think your balls are in at least one of the HAMB M&G photos. :D

I have a photo from the first Pileup HAMB M&G... and I think your nutsack made an appearance in that photo, too.

Awww geeze.. here we go with the nutsacks... its always the Kropdusters Vagabonds and nutsacks :)

Cool pics.. looks like a great show.. sad i missed it.. next year though..

Congrats to Cliffy for bustin hump on that.. and all the Vagabonds and Kropdusters and everyone who helped out.. Looks like you guys did a great job and got things off to a big roaring start.

It may just be me.. but .. does DW look a little tuned up in that pic? :)

  22. That wasn't my nutsack Mr. HELLFISH....
I have proof, but every time I post it on Photobucket they delete it and threaten to ban me.

...and Dan, you tell Cole that I'm not afraid to strike a child in public.
Great pic by the way. Thanks...
I'm just gonna blame it on the exhaust fumes from the giant diesels and leave it at that.

  23. If you *must* know Magnet... I stayed pretty sober on Saturday for once. Probably because I had to get ready to drive back by MYSELF on Sunday since you can suck it for not going. ;)

I was having a really hard time w/ my allergies because of the pine trees. My eyes are still fucked up today. But yeah, I look like crap in that pic for sure.

This was a really great show - great venue, great cars, great friends. It's on my list for next year for sure. Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a success.

Congrats guys, looks like it was a great show. I'm putting it on my target list for next year...

  28. why you got a pic of Joes old ladys ass on here? OH because its HOT !!!! lol

  29. I had a Guy Come up to me on Saturday night , " i have 100 old tractors a few old Harleys....and now thanks to you guys I have to build a hot rod !" LOL we are such a good influence !

  30. THIS attitude is why we have been asked to come back....check that, BEGGED to come back!

I am so fortunate to have good peers and I can't tell you how much respect you all gained from the UTC this past weekend. I worked REALLY hard to get them to understand how cool this group is.....I was a bit worried I would have to eat my words when I was at their thresheree two weeks ago and saw how rowdy it was. The Oliver group and others made a HUGE impression on the UTC and I can't tell you how much this group likes all of you!!! They told me all weekend how incredible everyone was. You all left the grounds in better shape then when you came!

This was such a memorable weekend. I am grateful to all that attended.

Paul from the Thresheree and a few guys were laughing about something Sat night when I walked past them in the dance hall. They told me that at their show they put loose change in the guys pisser, right in the piss trough. At their show you go back in a little while later and the change is missing. They did the same thing at our show....change was there all weekend long from what I understand.
