I ordered some stuff from Eelco about a week and a half ago and was supposed to get it last wed but it didnt come. i called the owner and asked about my parts he said that he got my money (funny how that works) but hasent shipped out yet but that i should have them in another week. i have heard some pretty bad things about Eelco as far as ripping people off (heard these things after i placed my order) has anyone had any recent experances with him. i did a search but nothing really turned up i was hoping for something maybe in the last month or so. i go to school and money is tight and i am worried i may have gotten screwed. any avdice would be awesome.

    Thank you,
    Geoffrey

I recently got a few things from him. Took two weeks all up from payment time to the stuff arriving at my door here in Australia, so I can't complain.

Although a mate also in Australia has been waiting for a looooooooong time, like 6 months, for parts. Not sure what the issue there is.

If you search Eelco and/or Northwest Speed you'll only get part of the story, the Nailhead yahoo list as well as a couple others have more as well. Search on google as well. Marty has been booted off of here for his dealings. He has ripped off a few people, given horrible service to a bunch more. There are quite a few who just won't deal with him anymore. I stay away....

DITTO...I won't even buy Marty's stuff when he sells it through distributors...I stay WAY clear and avoid his B.S. lines!

    Buyer beware.

I don't understand why you guys keep dealing with this crook.

Listen to Zman's advice and find someplace else to shop.

Last time I spoke with them (6 to 8 months ago), you could only buy through distributors. I hate ordering parts that are "on back order".

The only way I will buy Eelco products is from his distributors that have the part IN STOCK.

  10. so is this the same eelco that i've seen stamped on the valley covers and valve covers for sale over at Hot Heads??? i been thinking i'ld like to have a aluminum valley cover for the 315..and probably al valve covers too...but don't want to get stuck waiting for parts...i hate waiting for parts...and alot of stuff i've bought for the topo had to come from europe...any other options for my 315?? or is this 2 different company's???????????

Most likely it is the same company. Marty does own the rights to the name and likes to threaten lawsuits to people so I doubt it'd be someone else. There should be a couple of decent choices for Hemi stuff though. I thought Hot Heads carried a couple of different ones, I got some for a customer from them that were generic finned stuff. Might have been Moon for all I know.

I've done alright dealing with Marty as have a few others, but I've heard a lot of fellas that have not and as has been mentioned he's no longer a resident of the HAMB.
I've never called him just for business maybe that's why I've done OK.

I too had some problems. My parts supposedly got lost in the mail and when he finally got around to sending them again (3 weeks later) they did arrive but when I closely inspected the products (carb jets) all the labeled sizes on the packages didn't match the sizes of the jets in the bags. Complete waste of time and money as far as I was concerned.

Thank you all for your advice i going to stay on him and hope that everything works out.
    once again thank you,

I heard he's changing the name to "SNAKECO".
He claimed to have sent me a throttle arm 3 years ago. Still waiting!
Luckily it was cheap. I won't send any more money his way!

The real shame is a guy like this owns the rights to the Eelco name. His stuff is about as cool as finned centerbolt SBC valvecovers. :D

  22. ok got the message, he's a ****head....where else is there is the question????i've been beating the net for 315 325 hemi stuff and really don't got much

HotHeads Dodge valve covers do not come from Eelco. And if you are looking for valley covers, I offer the only front fill billet aluminum Dodge cover on the market. I guess you havent checked ALL the internet.

Friends, swapmeets, Ebay, Craigslist, maybe a Hamb want ad etc? I know you were asking for a Mc Donald's but with the old way you actually get old parts for your "vintage" car.:D
