    Thought i would share these, just going through some old photo albums and come across these pictures when he was around 19.

    his old ford, made into a roadster with a axe? cant remember if he finished this haah.

  2. Thanks for sharing the pic's,allways get a buz from old pics.
    The 51 twin spinner looks good ,an axe was used???.
    Do you know what the taillights are in the fc?.

    i think those oval taillights are from a late 50s vauxhall velox ... pretty mediocre british cars, common in aus and nz at the time

    yer not sure on the tail lights but as said above they look european-ish. and the fronts i think are za fairlane? not certain though

    looks like surburbia, but I do see the sign for St Arnuad. What year was that taken? the place is not exactly known as the hot bed of rodding.

    love to see the old photos, what was the go with the one headlight?
     
  6. ZA and ZB had horizontal head lights. Those look to be from an International Truck

    Headlights are from an International Truck, and the tail lights are from a 57 to 59 Vauxhall Cresta.

    The use of these headlight units was seen on many 60's Australian customs
