Don't want to make a habit of doin' this but anyone have any photo's of this truck below? Any info? I really like the stance & proportion and would like to see more. Thanks in advance. -Ron
Damn... Guess there's no way of knowing who it is on here though, right? Do certain people only get certain H.A.M.B tags or are they all the same?
Then I retract my statement...but there was a similiar one from MS. Now we got to find a pic of it... Brian
that is john logsdon's (me) truck. It was in mississippi for with me for about two years. Now we're back in Sonora Ca.
I also think is really neat. the stance is perfect. These pics are kinda old, all gathered from the net randomly, and if i can say,i like it better w/ the finned air cleaner scopeing outta the hood cut-out it has now.So, you wanted the info and you got it, you wanted the pics and there they are!Now all we need is a build thread or some build pics form the owner.....
thanks for the compliments guys. I know these trucks aren't wildly popular on the board here so I tend to avoid many posts with the truck to avoid any drama. The truck has had several changes over the last few years. It has been a driving work in progress for a long time I try to do a couple things every month or so. I work at a hot rod shop all day so sometimes it is hard to get to some of that though. I know that everyone says that the patina is the new flat black but, Mine is still this way for a reason. I have two toddler boys that love to help dad in the garage but are still learning how to not scratch cars. So, until that day comes the car will be driven as is and driven it gets. It's been driven from Cal to miss and back a couple times, texas, georgia, tennessee, arizona, florida and north carolina to name a few. all getting around 20 miles to the gallon thanks to some good gearing. I'll try and post a few pics in the am.
Johnnyboy, im a total nobody but im sure that your truck aint one of those pos that cause drama. It seems pretty well put togheter and all. Then on the patina thing...you might be right, but if its well done like yours i see nothing wrong w/ it. Like always, its a all a question of good taste, if you have it youre good, whatever you build.
You know I love your truck, Johnny! Please keep the pics coming... BTW: Next time you are in NC let me know!!!
couple more pics in the hot rods and boats thread. I know it's too low to be considered traditional but at the risk of hurting some feelings... it doesn't have to be perfectly traditional to be a hot rod. Kinda the same way I don't have to cuff my jeans to be cool. By the way there are several traditional cars that are very low too. The iacono roadster is about as low as anything and I higly doubt anyone would try to re-classify it. not to try and put my car in the same class just an example that I know well. What about the dick flint roadster, or the williams coupe? both also very low cars. I know a lot of "traditional" cars that don't have 50k plus trouble free miles on them. johnny
I fully agree with you Johnny. Hypereutectic pistons weren't around in the 40's, but how many times do we lean towards them in a traditional build for their dependability. Fully dig your truck and the mileage is a testament to your skills.
What up Johnny.....Im sure your really sad to be out of Mississippi. You will adjust, give it time. hahahaha Truck is still awesome, hope the family is doing well. mike
