I have an o/t project that im in the middle of piecing back together and a while back on craigslist i found a 56' gmc step side on a late '70s 4 by4 gm ch***is with a 327 bolted in. Doesnt run, needs a bunch of work. But i really want "COOl" project to sink my teeth into. My problem is that im short on money but i have just enough to buy the truck or i could use that money to finish the ot and find a project afterward. Ive been serching for a cool on topis project for a long time and im just kinda torn considering id have 2 un finished projects in my driveway and garage then.:(:(

  2. my advice is to get the ONE project that turns you on and built that. having two unfinished projects that need your attention and $$ when you are short on both is a guaranteed way for neither projects to ever get done

it is easy to keep finding misc parts and projects. Important to use the stuff that you already have and build something. Tomorrow will not always be there..

I have had some projects for 20 years........ then one day you finally get all the parts off the shelf ....... put em on the floor and build it.

People come in and say 'Where did you find that?'

Never p*** up a project you really want even if you dont have the money or time to do it...... in time you'll find both

Having money and time isn't **** if you don't have the project you always wanted.

Words to live by, in fact this is why I don't seem to get everything done; too many projects.

It sounds as if you don't like the OT project much anymore? Buy the new one and sell the old one, done deal! What is the OT so we can ponder on that? :D

Two projects are not better than one (unless you have a good record of completing them).

If you said "I found this cool truck I can drive now but it would take my project money" I might understand.
