Now that the 55 is all done I'm wondering which farm project to do next. Can you guys help me i.d. the year of these farm trucks?? I love the Chevy but the Ford is much more complete. The GMC - I see way too many of them around in smaller sizes.

  2. I like Fords but that is not my favorite year. I'd go with the Chevy.

I would say the chevy, like you said there are too many of the gmc trucks like that around. The ford looks like it would need much more work. The chevy just takes me vote. Cool truck.

    The Ford is a 42-47.
    The Chevy is a 41-early 47.
The GMC is a late-47-51, no vent windows, pull-down handles. Chrome grille is a goodie.

id go with the chevy it is about a 40 or 41 i am guessing and the gmc seems to be too much of a common bodystyle like that still around, and the ford looks about maybe 46 47 but im not sure...

How hard will it be to find parts for the Chevy? Specifically the hood. I think it would be cool to not repaint it - just put it together, lower it, and put one of my sons in the driver seat. Anyone else feel like there is just not enough time? :)

The hood shouldn't be too hard I don't think they are any different on the big trucks but could be wrong
