I saw their stuff at KYANA swap meet back a couple of months ago. I wasn't impressed at the quality. The grill for my car that I looked at, had pits and dents all over it. And they still wanted 800 buck! I decided NOT!

the mickey D's of chromers. Used these guys but I live here. They do a lot of retail fixtures and trade show stuff as well. I did not pay for show quality but got a very nice job. Rear bumper 2 guards, 2 tail light bezels, (pot metal filled and plated) and one center stop light bezel), for 400 bucks in 2002. He even straightened and polised a waded up rocker stailess for 150.

  3. I think every thread on these folks I've seen has been about 10 to 1 bad on them. I also agree, the guys who flip cars probably use them to save a buck, or they'd be out of business by now.

They come to Cars&Parts here in Springfield, have for years. I asked another guy out of LA who was at the show and he gave me the skinny on those guys. He thing is, they don't really do the work, its outsourced to different shops over the country. The "Boyz" are from LA. The father started the business way back in the day. He more or less disowned them and from what my source told me, they aren't even allowed in Cali. They stay on the road to avoid taxes and have stock relayed to them. Don't take this for the gospel, but that's what I was told. They do have most makes and models available, but you don't really know who's work it is.

May be an old thread but Bumper Boyz is the Pits, a Falcon Core was lost overnight at Moultrie in November 2008, never did turn up. At the same time there was a guy *****ing about a vintage VW bumper that was a perfect German example, well he got back a JC Whitney special. They offered him a 10% on his next purchase. People ran after hearing that...

Spraying your bumper with aluminium paint will last longer than Bumper Boyz chrome. Don't even consider using them. Plus you won't get you same bumper back.

I got bumpers for my 57 from them and have no complaints.

We ordered them and were to pick them up at a swap meet. When picking them up we didn't like the chrome on one of the rear bumper's end pieces. They let us sort through and find 2 we liked. Later noticed that one was a repop and one was original. Met up with them at another swap meet and let me trade out ends again for original stuff.

Not much chrome on the back sides so I scuffed them a bit and hit them with a good coat of undercoating.
