Projects Going Gasser....Maybe?

I picked up a 56 Coronet 2dr. sedan a few months back and have been torn what to do with. I was thinking the custom route but being a sedan it just doesn't really work for me.But after seeing this photo shopped 56 it's got me thinking this direction.Whats the H.A.M.B community say?

Not to piss people off though,I won't call it a g***er,that label gets thrown around almost as much as the R word.And it will be painted I hate patina almost as much.

I think it looks wild, I'd go for it.

 

It would look cool.. theres a 56 Regent 2 dr up here that has that stance.. it looks neat..

YEAH !!! I liked it when I saw it posted the first time ! All of the sudden it seems that there are 20 or so straight axle cars going together in my area. EVERY ONE is a 55 or 57 chev! One of my favorite memories from those days was the diversity of the cars. I'd love to do one, that's why I wanted to do my 50 fastback, it's DIFFERENT ! Anyway, DO IT, old HEMI, waaay cool !!

 

I think I'll stick to my roots and scoot the front end forward and inch or three.That'll take it out of the g***er cliche and into the the altered ranks.Gotta be a little different.

That's funny(no pun!) I was going to suggest the same, only I was going for about 5" in the rear as well. Study the photo, It needs it!!

Here it is altered, personally, if I did that AND I WOULD!! I'd leave the stock rear wheelwells !

 

Do I really need to tell you what I would do with it! As long as its got serious nosebleed it will be cool! Just do it!

 

Definatley go with the g***er idea man. That looks *****in, and it's way different than most g***ers you see. I dig the color scheme too.
