What a week! Just returned home from my second trip to Bonneville in 3 yrs. I think I can speek for the others in our little group that we had a blast. Left Central Mo on Thursday morning and headed west towards Abilene to pick up Jay (Nosurf) and then head north to Seward NB and Hellraisers place to meet up with Jeff (hiboy32) and his son Donovon. Jeff was having overdrive issues, as in his OD was shot and we thought we might have to change transmissions before we left. Jeff decided he could go on so we just put the (spare) in the trunk for just in case. We left Seward about 10:30ish and drove to North Platte NB before we stopped for a nap.

Friday morning we headed west on I 80, stopping at the Lincoln Memorial rest area in WY for a bite of lunch. After several fuel stops and few stops so Jeff could water his Flatty we arrived safe and sound at the Bend in the road at 10:30 pm Friday night and set up camp. So enuff of my blabbing heres some pics.

Awesome!! I was big fan of both of your cars. You were running a SBC with duel 4's right?

Anyways, glad that the trip went well and wish we could have introduced ourselves to one another. Maybe next year!!!

Thats what Ive been told, so me and Jay were prepared to die at any givin minute of the trip, that and my tube axle. ;)

Nick it was good seeing you again too.

I had such a good time, and was so relaxed during the whole week. Got to hang out with old friends and made a few new ones along the way.
For those of you that keep putting this trip off, get with it and get your *** out there.

I told you, you guys wouldn't get past North Platte that night.:D

As long as you had lots of Miracle Whip, I knew you'd make it without a hitch. It sounds like you guys made good memories, now you can be tucked safely into your nice cozy beds at home.

    Welcome home......

Greezy, I think you guys had a ball ! I was suppose to be there with a non-Hamb buddy and to crew on a non-HAMB racecar. Issues came up so next year for me. Maybe with my "A" Coupe !

    What a great time!

I can't believe I have not gone before now.

You tell yourself it is going to be (insert adjective here), but it just blows you away.
