I went with my Father N Law today and picked up a old T bucket that was built in the late 60s early 70s. It is missing the grille shell and the Radiator. What radiator can we get that we can make fit in it and cool a Small Block Chevy Cheap??

  2. Speedway sells a T rad that will work.

  4. You gotta pay to play, I wouldnt cut corners on cooling. In the broad scope, it is a cheap part of the car.

T- buckets HAVE to have the look, and the radiator/shell is a focal point.

yngrodder....I sent an e-mail with pics of what I did/used. Post them if you can or want to. I can do a lot of things but figuring the picture posting on here isn't one of them.

For what it's worth, I used a 19 X 22" aluminum radiator intended for cross flow and relocated the filler neck and beveled the corners on the top tank (as installed now) so the radiator's core is centered in the opening. May not be the perfect fit but it wasn't $300 or $400 either.

I got my grill shell from NAS( in the bak or R&C) i think it was about $50, you can use a model A or a cut down 32.My radiator is out of a 1980's something mitsubishi P/U, it fit perfect.

YNG, I used a 65-66 v-8 with A.C. 3 core Mustang radiator in my T.Its a close fit in a stock T radiator shell, but does fit. Also if you run a S.B.C. you will have to locate a straight ahead thermostat housing outlet for the upper hose,so your top hose lines up with the radiator outlet better.I used an outlet off of a 57 235 six cylinder motor, worked great.Purchased the radiator new, from radiator.com, delivered to my house, around 125.00, works great.
