I've stumbled on something on the net showing a swap of a Volare K member into an early pickup. Anyone have any info on what exactly this involves?

    Thanks

After watching the vids I wonder if he had to cut so much from the frame because of the style of truck it is going into or if any truck would require some slicing.

It's. Not to bad to do just like doing a camero clip or an aftermarket clip. Pretty much just have to center the wheels set the ride height an make sure its square. I've done a few of these if you have any other questions feel Free to ask

    Thanks for the offer!

So if I have got it straight you measure up the axle centerline then you cut out enough material from the bottom of the frame rails, then weld in the K member nice and square?

That's pretty much all there is to it just remember to reinforce where the frame and clip come together

Pretty straight forward. The only bummer is parts.

Be sure to do a search over at the www.p15-d24.com site. This has been a fairly popular swap and there are some detailed posts on it.
