Ive got a gl*** body roadster that I'm going to put a plywood floor in and I need to figure how to set my pedals. I have a brake pedal with the master that sits under the floor (one piece) and a s**** style pedal. Its preety tight in there. My fabracating skills are lacking but Im trying. Any ideas on how I can do this and if there is somthing better to use. Thanks

Not real sure on the pedals till you get more metal in there. But I hope that steering box is not bolted to the fibergl***.

Mount the brake pedal on a crossmember on your frame and make a bracket from the steelwork in the body to hang the s**** pedal. I can't be any more specific with an answer without a more specific question.

You guys have some good books over there dedicated to this stuff, lots of mags have shown this set up, get on the old Google thing ,theres a wealth of info out there.
If you think you are not that confident ,seek help from a fellow Rodder, etc.
Theres some serious tubing going on in that body ;)

  5. Take a look at aftermarket bracket/pedal combo's.

Nicely done, well engineered and not too expensive all things considered.

Yep the tubing makes this thing pretty solid. The steering box is mounted to tubing that goes accross the cowl.

If I were you I would look at the steering box mount again. You really need some fore/aft support. Maybe it has some but from the picture I did not see any. If not your going to have a lot of flex in the steering box/ cowl.

  8. Ya might start with a Speedway catalog or some of the others out there. It's helpful to me to see what products are available and what the options are. I ended up using a pedal ***embly from late '40s Ford truck for the roadster. Made a bracket and welded it to the center crossmember and bolted up the whole pedal ***embly. Made a slight adjustment in the thing so I could run a late model dual master cylinder. From the pics it looks like ya are half way there.
    Good Luck!
