My 1976 Ford F-100 bagged and body dropped. This has been a 2 year project so far. I finally got the truck where I can drive it so that is all I do with it now. I can't bring myself to tear it back apart to comolete it like I had planned. These Plus This Equals this 1952 Studebaker on a 86 Dodge D-50 Frame with a 318 Joint project between me and my brother . We sectioned the body down 6" and have plans to chop the top another 6". Was going to be a full blown rat rod with no front cap but to our amazement with a little finesse the fenders and hood actually fit back on the truck.
Hey Flatout, Welcome to the Hamb, looks like you might fit-in here. Just don't bring up the Rat term again and it will be all-good..I love the Stude Dude, get-er-done!
Thanks alot I appreciate the compliments. You know I had no idea that term was offensive but okay I am easy to get along with. Lets just say the Stude will have a not so gently used look when it is finished
We got a pretty good handle on the studes top today. We were planning to chop it 6" but we went 5" instead. If you put that with the 6" we sectioned out of the body the truck is 11" shorter than it started.....Still a long way to go on it. Looks killer though! thats my brother in the truck ...not much headroom
I found out through another post that the stude is older than I thought. It is actually a 1952 2-R series.... Just thought I would correct myself
