    Do you have the magazine article on this coupe? What year/month magazine is this in?
     
  5. Actually for 1962 the flat black would be period perfect for many of the model A era coupes. Only rich kids could afford shiny paint.

    Primer is right for the day although lots of guys could afford $29.95 for a paint job. The nose up look came later and I don't like it at all. See my coup of that time frame

    I think it looks good the way it is, though I'm not a big fan of the engine paint. Definitely like the wheels and tires.:D

    any of these colors work ? How about factory 1965 chevy orchid with a tad bit flake thrown into the clear coat ? ? or that eighth one over from the right gold is nice, but perhaps overdone.[​IMG]

    This is what makes Hot Rodding so great.......change is the key word, you can change eras or styles so easily.......sixpack of rochesters and white wheels.
