OK here's what might be something obvious to most of you. but what is the significance of the the letters FNG
Yup, more permanent that way. One of these days I'll get one. You'll also find it doesn't matter how many you post, it's the quality of your posts that count. Wasn't there a guy that had a ridiculously high number of posts and was only a member for a few months? I think he was the self appointed welcoming member for anyone that posted a introduction.
I recently "Graduated" to Grenade Inspector. I also recently started a thread that got deleted, just south of OT probably (didn't have a reason in the message). The point is after just over a 100 posts I got my stripes and then screwed the pooch with an OT thread. Having some pride in what we put out here for everyone to read, making what we post valid and respecting the ground rules is what posting here is all about. Point is that if I got bumped back to newbie for getting stupid on a post it would bite, but I would have earned it. The HAMB is the best site on the web and if you don't become a member, you have to earn the respect of your fellow HAMBer's and the moderators to get past the FNG status. In my case I'm kissing *** in this post so I don't get booted back to Newbie land, or worse.
