My 3rd year in a row.... This year I arrived in LA and brought this 63 Buick and then drove it all the way to Wendover via Bakersfield, Tracy and Reno. I'm now back in LA getting ready to fly back to New Zealand and will ship the car there for Beach Hop 2010 where it will be given away.

An adventure I will treasure for a life time - driving the Buick onto the salt was a great feeling...

Along with fellow Kiwi Duane Jones of Kiwi Konnection in Bakersfield, we were there for sunrise....

Good shit Noddy, those pics have just answered most of the things we couldn't work out from results. Nothing like being there , aye ?
Damned difficult working it out from here when the results tables only have numbers and names, some of which we don't recognise........ like which car is NOW the fastest flathead roadster in the world.... :D
And how one car broke records in two different engine divisions..... damn changing engines out there is a big call.

It was only yesterday Mooseman was lamenting the fact on "our" forum that we hadn't seen any pics and coverage......

My 3rd year also. You know we are hooked for life now. 2007 was a wet first year to be at Bonneville. 08 was better and 09 the best. Hope to see you there in 2010. Thanks for the great pics. Saw a lot of the cars you shot, they look great. talked to the guys changing the engine. I said "hope your doing it for a class change". They were working on the quick change rear end also. Double tuff changing an engine on the salt. thanks for Posting.

Good pics Noddy. I would rather have been back there again than resting at home after a spell in hospital, checking it all out online.
