OK.......Give it a great "gunk" engine high pressure and undercarriage wash, clean the interior, check all the mechanicals (brakes, belts, hoses), set of Kool wheels and radials and enjoy. Looks to be a solid truck. Just make sure you take it on a lonely road and hit the brakes hard. Just to make sure it stops and doesn"t pull left or right in case of an emergency.

New is nice, old school stuff like your truck is super Kool.

    Be safe.

You lucked out, yours has a tailgate. I've got two and one had no tailgate and the other had a tailgate that was more rust than tailgate. Yours looks good.

  6. Sweet truck. I wouldn't change a thing.

I learned how to drive stick in a '66 -- many of the styling cues are the same.

Congrats! I dig mine. The brake advice above is really good. They aren't the best from the factory. The look really good lowered a bit. Yours looks a lot like mine, but probably less rust. Mine is the same color and also has a factory bumper. I plan to sell that because I like the factory "roll pan" but I need to drop the *** end first.

Looks like someone stuck some ****py aftermarket gages in it. Gonna see if you can get the original temp gage working?

    Chevy alternator...nice :)

Looks like a remanufactured engine, see the tag riveted on at the bottom center of the block on the driver side?

i dont know that there was anything wrong with the old wheels. i think it woulda looked cool with a set of tires and an al***ude adjustment.

but its not my truck. glad to see you are excited about it and keep us posted on the updates. you'll be able to find alot of info on here.

  15. nice truck, i like the old wheels better. i like the idea of having lots of wheel n tyre combos so you can change the look to suit your mood.

Put on a dual master cylinder.A 1973 ford truck works with no other changes.Crager SS wheels look good on those trucks.Hint, Hint, Nudge, Nudge.
