Its all original and 100% complete. Its light blue, all over. No holes showing anywhere. It needs front lower bumper ends (typical, I am told) as they are rusty. inside is musty - it must hold water well... It is not beat up - no obvious dents or rounded off corners at all. I am told it runs well, just needs brake work finished up. I can get it for under 2 grand. I know "this post ****s without pictures" - I will get some tonight. I am thinking of metalflaking the top and scalloping it and tinkering with it to then re-sell it.... Thoughts?
Under 2 grand for a running Coupe Deville is good price... especially if there's no major body work, ususally rocker and floors... bumper end rust is very common... musty recarpet and fabreeze the heck outta it... but 2 grand on Coupe is GREAT buy by my history of looking...
Okievoodoo, Cool pickup! what a rare find - I wonder what the original story was on that - Bored rancher with a lot of extra time and money? Thanks for the advice - looks like you have been dabbling in Cadillac for a while...
Ive got a 64 sedan deville and love it. One of my favorite cars. Just dont think to yourself that its worth fixing the a/c. They have one of the most complex pos a/c systems ever produced by GM. I could fill four pages of diagrams on them but trust they just cost more to fix than retrofit. Good luck. Oh yeah get and edelbrock 650 electric choke, remove the resistor wire to the coil, add a pertronix ignitor and stuff the heat riser ports full of fishing weights below the carb in the intake. Drove mine every day for three years untill I found the only *** hole on the highway parked reading a map. Hit him at 65 and drove my car on the wrecker. I put his tail light 6" from the back of his head.(08 suburu forrester)
Caddys are cool and that doesn't sound like a bad price. Something to think about though, if the inside has been wet and it's been sitting long, many of the electrical components could be toast. The other thing is, you need a NASA engineering degree to keep all the complex systems up and running correctly. To me, simpler is better, especially for a car that's supposed to be fun.
Exactly the stuff i'm look'n for folks - thanks - I hate over complicated also...It probably has a 750 lb A/C compressor anyway. So, Does this thing have a Torbo 400 in it? I am sure it is factory equipment. I do know it has a sediment bowl fuel filter...
