This time of day he should have one of the Counties highway helpers there with him any second. That is a spot where someone breaksdown or there is a wreck nearly everyday so he should be taken care of quickly.

I called him and left my number. I'm just up the road if I can lend a hand.

he's got air, and is currently trying to get the bead seated. it seems a random stranger stopped, gave him an airtank and told him to leave it there and he'll get it later! see what happens when you're driving a hot rod!

Uhh..........yeah, whats the deal? I drove a tow truck for a AAA affiliated company for years, they should have either helped to get him back on the road, towed his vehicle or found someone who could.

Most likely - thanks for a great time, again, man. :)
Looks like the tube was folded up, and had a slice in it. BUT - the damn tire has two bulges on the sidewall now. Probably from runnin' the rim over it trying to get to the side of the road.
SO - anyone know where I can snag a good used/new Firestone, 525/550x17" ???? In St. Louis?????? Holler if you can, or know someone that can hook me up. Not sure this will be good to Joplin.:(
    Thanks.

Last time I called AAA they still hadn't showed up three hours later drove the car on the rim to get it off the interstate and ruined the rim, safer then on the side with the crazies on the cell phones flying by. Good luck finding your tire.

Dont have any tires. How about a alternative wheel tire combo. That has the same tire height and bolt circle? Come on monsterflake? You gotta have something? Ken call me in the morning. If you think I can do some running for you or something. Brian 314 620 7015

No 17's but have a set of 8.50 X 15's mounted on early Merc wheels that i could bring to Joplin, Should get you home. You could just get them back to me next time you see me. I think they are about 29" tall.

Damn. When are you heading to Joplin Ken? I can call around and see if anyone has a wheel/tire you can borrow till joplin and then maybe you can have someone bring you something to get from joplin till home. Whats the bolt patter? How tall is it from the ground to the top of the tire?

he needs a 5 on 5 1/2, if someone has wheels, i can provide some 15" tires...

(i have tall 15s or shorter 14s, i just saw that it was a front tire. is there a 14" wheel in the big ford pattern?)
