Maine Registration info needed...

If anyone has a vehicle (hotrod, streetrod...) registered in MAINE and you don't live there, please PM me..looking for info on registering my '30 Sedan as an non-resident. Just want to ask you guys before putting my foot in my mouth when I call their motor vehicle dept!

What problem do you have here in CT?
Right now, there is no inspection and no title needed, just a real VIN
no need to take it to the DMV for the "vin check" as there are some commercial garages that will do it for a small fee.
put antique plates on and the yearly town property tax asessment is only $500 max value, even if it's a Duesenberg.

 

Well...from READING the DMV site...it scared me!!!

I have a BILL OF SALE, VIN# on Bill of sale matches the one on the chassis (out of state Bill of sale, no previous registration for it was a project car i purchased---doesn't that require inspection in CT????? , I ALSO have no title for the state I got it from does not do titles if the car is more than 20 years old) I could always sell the car to my friend and have him sell it back to me then I would have a CT BILL OF SALE!!

I have a fenderless 31 hotrod...not completed just yet..but close!! Just want to get the ball rolling!!!

Any idea who these COMMERCIAL GARAGES are????
