if you could have any car you wanted with no limit of money what would you have? (in detail ,elaborate!)
Alright,I'll help revive this thread... 1964 Plymouth Belvedere hardtop;a steel nose,11:1 cr Max Wedge model,in a nice dark color(Chestnut or dark blue preferred;cuz nothing says 'Arrest me,Officer' like a Ruby Red fast car) and done with steelies and dog-dish caps. Second choice would be a '64 Savoy/Belvedere sedan, then a '64 Dodge 440,then... Another option(thanks to the bad influence of this site) would be a Deuce coupe,bigs-and-littles,black or black cherry in color with subtle (ghost?) flames, and a by-God-as-Henry-wanted-it FORD motor(427 FE preferred) under the bonnet. I see so much cool stuff on this site,my tastes could change tomorrow(other than the B-body affliction)-isn't that typical of most of us here?
Would have to be a 49 chev coupe. 4inch chop, dumped, Steals and www's nice neat custom with a 409 and a 4 speed. Peaked hood maybe a slghtly modified grill (nothing to out there). Or a 39 Zeph. Similar treatment. MMMMMMMMMMMM NICCCCE
I feel the '63 comet I own is good. I just wish it was mint. I wish The chrome was not pitted. no scratch on the hood and no oil leaking.
It would HAVE to be a 1957 Olds Super 88 2dr Hardtop with all the "gingerbread" and a Continental Kit, Slammed, with a light bright color, perhaps Candy Red or Green. While everyone else is droolin over the Chevies, not me, I have had a thang for this model since I first laid eyes on it in October of 1956 when all the new models for 57 first came out! I was ten years old at the time! Carrie
1930 Model A coupe with a 34 grille, subtle 2" chop in back, 3" chop in front, A 4" drop axle with Buick finned hubs. A slight rake. Channeled over deuce rails, big and little white walls with chrome reverse steelies in a corsair blue finish with an austere aviation themed interior. The steering wheel would be a yolk from an old bomber. It has a Chrysler hemi with 6 carbs polished to beat the band. The headers would sweep out and down to the side and stop just short of the doors letting the exhaust discolor the sides. A 4 speed with a graceful gooseneck shifter. A full tank of gas and a switch activated ignition. Sigh.
a 66 Shelby GT 350H with a Ford GT 40 engine. (The new one) Or a SOHC 427 with 6 speed. Stock on the out side. Monster under the skin. or a 89 Camry stick.
Late Vintage/early post-Vintage, big coachbuilt roadster. Huge, supercharged engine with lots of cylinders, lots of cams, lots of valves, but no electronics. Seven-speed close-ratio manual gearbox. Clever solid-axle suspension. In other words, like a Hispano-Suiza type 68, only more so.
Damn...that was gonna be my choice. Since you snagged the green one, I'll take the red one thats at Gilmore....or maybe the blue one that was Otis Chandler's (my current 'puter background) ...choices...choices......oh hell, any Dietrich Packard would work.
