The original taillights were looking a bit ratty on my Merc so I put some repop 59 Cad lights on it. Not exactly a rocket science install but it went quick and they look good. Here's a couple of pics:

reminds me of a much cooler version of the "gun sights" on a 57 chevy...

I dig it. I'm looking for kustom tails for my 62 Impala. Mabye I'll find something at the swap meet in Springy.

Usually those 59 Cadi lights seem overused, but damn, I think they look better on there than the stock original ones.

    Very Nice.

Thanks for all the kind word guys. I was a bit worried about what Lucky444 said about the Cad tails being overused but they do look like they coulda been stock so I'm pretty happy with them.

Does that mean I'm Kool now?;)
I'm also working hard at joining the Model A club. Going to look at a 30 Tudor Sat night or Sun morning.

I clicked this, then while it was loading (slow internet) I was thinking "why did I click this?" I hate cadillac taillights. They are entirely over used and it seems anyone who has no taste puts them on their car and thinks they are "custom".

But you know what? Those lenses look PERFECT on your car. Better than the car they were designed for by FAR. WoW. Good job. I can now say I've seen them used perfectly.

I laughed out loud at the first part of this reply. Thanks for the laugh and the kind words. Oh and for the record, I don't really think this thing is a Custom I just couldn't find the Lowrider tag for the thread.

  17. I actually like the rear of that mercury with the cad lights. It's amazing what a few bucks can do for a car.

nice job, they look perfect and just give the car that extra little kick without being obvious or too over the top. Your car looks great.

  19. That is what I was thinking. I read the title and wasn't expecting much, they look damn good.

I know the Caddy repops were used on everything. But I wouldn't modify things to use them. They just seemed to fall in place on the back of my ride too..............

Man....I agree with everyone above. I'm so sick of those taillights, but they really look good and I'm happy to see 59 taillights in a place they acutally work. Nice!

'59 Caddys look great on that '62 Merc. And by the way, '59 Caddy taillights aren't any more over used as some other stuff I see on here. You done good!
