What do you call the big washers that are held down by the Hemi plug wire covers, go over the tube seals, and press down to seal the plug tubes from leaking oil...and where can I come up with 8 of them? HELP, guys...
Are you talking about the tubes that go down in the hemi valve covers with the rubber o rings at the top? Then they make a washer that you can but before the o ring to help seal the o ring? if so I dont believe they have a particular name. I used to use them on non Mopar valve covers(seems mopar is the only one the o rings truly seal in) and I got some off Mooneyes at one time, and we used to order them from www.moparts.com as well....
Then you have to run the plug covers. I machined tapered aluminum rings to press on my steel tubes and peened the lip over to hold them a little better and then when I put the plug in the tube held the rubber thing down. Worked pretty good. I didn't want to bundle my plug wires togeather.
I think I have a full set from my rebuild I didn't use... Post a pic (if you can) and let me know.. Are they the thin ones??
SPOONS - I don't have a picture, but they're the thin metal washers that the plug wire covers press down on to seal down the rubber spark plug seal to the tubes...
