Your right your dads cooler than mine. Mine died at 52 when I was 18 cherrish every miniute you can. Its only a car dads are for life.
Very Cool! More pics too. My Dad gave me a '71 Vega when I was 16. It had a blown engine. Is your Dad looking to adopt?
If you were a rotten lil kid like most of us, then wouldn't YOU be Aggravation #2 & the Nova be #3?? kidding, just kidding... Congrats!
My dad owed me some money and I needed it to buy this....... he could only spare $20 So if you think about it, since i got a NOVA II out of the deal my dad spared the $20 my Dad is about 1/1 millionth closer to being as cool as your dad!!!! BONUS for meee I got 2 more doors on mine than yours!!!!! HAHAHAHA HAHAHA HA HA H............. no? you got a cool dad there!!
That is pretty dam fine that your dad gave you a great gift like that, he is cool whats more enjoy the moment they are special . Lost my dad three years ago so those moments I hold pretty dear. Congrats Rob.
That's a good man. My Dad bought both my older sister's cars and told me to get a job and buy my own. All I could afford was a 50 Ford coupe from the original owner for $375, drove it home at 15 and got my *** kicked. Thanks Dad.
That's one cool Dad. Mine died when I was 12 but he'd already planted the car seed. Cherish your time with your Dads whether they're good or bad....they don't hang 'round forever
My dad got me a 85 trans am and a 84 firebird but id be damned if he let me lay my hands on a car like that. He would probably never be home if he had such a beast, be out smokin the tires every which way!
My dad gave me $10 and a suitcase for my 18th birthday! Told me to never even think about moving back in. So this past year I gave him a 55 Willy's pickup, (totally restored to original of course) for his 55th birthday. Doubt I will ever get such an awesome car as you but nonetheless that old man means the world to me! As stated before enjoy him while he's around to be enjoyed!
Your Dad is certainly cool. But sorry, no way is he cooler than my Dad. Enjoy the car, it looks like a lot of fun!
Dad's are a real ****shoot...and you seem to have a winner!!! Make the most of every minute you two have together. My Dad earned enough to just barely keep our family housed and fed. When I graduated high school in '60,he drove me to the Ford dealer, negotiated a deal on a used '57 Ford, handed me the keys & the payment book ($41.00 a month!!)...on the way home he said "ya break it,ya fix it.." ..Yet he was always by my side handing me tools & guiding me through the repairs & maintenance of that car..The most he could kick in was just a few dollars...but his guidance was priceless...Lost him in '66...but ,to this day , I still feel his presence when I work on my cars. Thanks Dad
That's a cool dad. Enjoy the time together while everyone is still here. Life is way too short. Congrats.
That is the absolute best two sentence story I have ever heard. Congrats man, you have an awesome car but an ever better dad!
Now that is a cool Dad, that ******* Falcon is some kinda bad boy as well. Be pleased to have such a great bond with your Dad, it is a fine thing. My Dad helped me with my first hot rod , a 33 Chevy sedan and we teamed upon every car I owned after that untill he retired and sold his shop. I am really blessed to have had such a cool relationship, I miss him all the time wishing he could see the explosion of the sport!! R.I.P. Pop!! ~Sololobo~
Sorry..NOBODY's dad is cooler than Ace Brown's...HAMB'er and VETERAN hot rodder. I'm sure we can all attest to that! and by the way hello Pete! "it's not how fast you get there..it's how cool you look on the way." -Pete Brown
Damn, I opened up the thread to let you know I thought I have the coolest dad, but........I can't compete with that! I still know my old man is cool; we're building a straight axle '57 cheb after the wagon is done. Great looking chevyII man! LET'S SEE WHAT IS UNDER THAT HOOD! Give us some details!!
My dad taught me the fine art of checking out girls undetected. He also taught me how to fart in crowded places, and running away in time to observe the looks on peoples faces and the finger pointing that ensues. But he never gave me anything as cool as that. Lucky man.
Nicee you do have a great dad I'll give it to ya. Mine built this for me (I helped some) Helped me build this and taught me a lot And gave me this body which I am currently working on myself
I've known the 'Dad' of this team since around 1959 and the 'Kid' since,........... aw Hell, his entire life! Together they're a pretty cool package. Now, here's something I think is pretty cool! I did some hand lettering on the Falcon roadster back in the late 60's, .... and IF I PLAY MY CARDS RIGHT, I MIGHT be allowed to lay a brush on the Deuce. Somebody grab me a beer, throw some Alvin Lee on the turntable and let's lay down some paint.
Here's a couple of motor shots, there are a couple of 'non-traditional' pieces on it,but that can be worked out. Uhh, Older'n dirt...you didn't do your intro before posting, read the rules! Hah, I'll catch some hell for that!
