I have some of the old style Mallory distributors that I need parts for. These are the ones with the cast aluminum bodies, two piece caps and the BIG condensor on the side. Probably 30's to 40's vintage. Mostly need the shaft bushings but, any other parts would be great too.
Does anyone know where I can get this stuff?

  2. Sacremento Vintage Ford does the basic's (cap, rotor, points etc) for the old stlye 4 banger mallorys. they may do the same for the v8's. Assuming you are refering to a v8 dizzy that is!

Thanks 4ever4. I'm using them on a hopped up Model B banger.
    I forgot to mention they are the;
    Model Z Type 13AN
    Model YC Type 11A & 11B
You can still order points and rotors from Mallory distributers. The original condensors and caps are no longer available except at swap meets.

  4. As its for a 4 banger I'll but some effort into it!
The parts listed are for the YC/ZC series and they are:

    Rotor
    Distributor Cap
    Ignition points
    Resistor

Not many parts, but they have got Caps listed. Not sure what a resistor is though? Do they mean a ballast resistor?

  5. Sorry forgot the part numbers.

    Rotor 610-8-1
    Distributor Cap 610-8-3
    Ignition points 610-8-4
    Resistor 610-8-5

I wonder what part number 610-8-2 was......!

You can give Ohio George Montgomery a call @ 937-233-2700. I have a similay Mallory 2 cap in my '49 Merc. George stocks parts for it. George was a notable National Champion in the 60's in the gas classes. Great guy to talk to.

    Hope this helps

Thanks blown49. I talked to George. He has everything but the bushings. He'll be a good parts resource. I'll just have some bushings made.

Like the man said, you can get alot of it from Summit. The caps and rotors are getting scarce. I've been buying what ever I can find at swaps. Glad to hear there's another source for parts. You should be able to find the bushings through a bearing distributor. Wouldn't be too tough to make one.
