Congrats to all who competed, those seven cars sure created their fair share of intrest. It was great to see some more QLD cars on the track it's a big incentive to make a hurry along with mine.

We're pretty proud of our local track. The staff here really look after the place and the racers. It was a great weekend of racing for all of us in the HA/GR Cl*** and we all got to race each other over 2 days. A big thanks to the guys who travel long distances to race with us , I promise it's my turn to travel to your home track soon.

  7. 1. I think it's cool, especially side by side.......great to see compe***ive racing, and people improving their cars.

But..(and without wanting to start a stupid debate)..we've allready had ANDRA tap us on the shoulder reminding us of 13.5, so be aware.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus

Be a good time to tell them, how you've proven the safety of the cars over the seasons and maybe a faster speed might be deemed acceptable at this time. Although that 13.50 thing is saving you guys money too. ;) And any time you invite a review...things might not go your way. kind of the don't kick a sleeping dog kinda deal.

Tough situation. But you're racing, so the hard part is done. :D

  9. ANDRA are/will be formally reviewing HA/GR cars in the very near future, and we have been aproached to discuss a few topics (which I'll save mentioning for another day). The 13.5 topic is one of those issues (and we'd like it to be reduced a little) as well as a number of other issues, which we're working to resolve.
Unfortunately, by the same token, whilst our 'foot is in the door', there are a few individuals wanting to 'remove our feet', and like the 'sleeping dog' deal, the 'dog' doesn't like to be stirred from its restfull slumber.

All that aside, stoked that all had fun in Qld, great to see some good racing, new interest in the cl***, and a few new cars kicking **** with their consistancy, just gotta get these fast guys to wait till the green light:):D

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:)

  11. The best idea for ANDRA is to invite all the HAMBsters to WSID in feb 2010 summernationals FEB 12-13 or the NITRO CHAMPS april 30- MAY 2
this way the oz Hamb group can showcase approx 15 -20 race cars to ANDRA and the general public alike promote the HA/GR cl*** and the affordable drag racing
(ANDRA do this now for junior dragster)

Was a great weekend of HA/GR racing and the only downside was that I wasn't able to get my rocket finished in time. Will definately be out for sorting before the end of the year. Thanks to all the guys for making time for a chat. Couldn't meet a friendlier bunch of guys. Congrats to the all and see at the track soon.
