I used to draw the picture off of the side of Jungle Jim's car a lot when I was a kid. My grandmother bought me the Snake and Mongoose Hot Wheels set for my birthday once.

I tended to favor Bruce Larson's "USA-1" Camaro Funny Cars of the late 1960's... Besides the patriotic red, white, and blue color schemes, I believed the "USA-1" moniker was a noble concept in the naming of a race car, because I believed as a child that the USA was the best d*rn place to call home, and then later in my life, after having traveled much of the globe as an adult, I still stand firm with my opinion of this great USA, there's no changing my mind regarding that matter-- These United States remain the best place to live and do your business-- It's nice to visit other nations and locations, but I choose to call the USA my home... When I finally met Bruce Larson as an adult, I found his straightforward and honest approach as a man to be admirable and refreshing-- He is a genuine gentleman who treats you with respect... Bruce Larson is a "racer's racer" and ALL the cars that he's campaigned over the years have proven to be clean and competitive machines... I look forward to seeing fellow fans of the "old school" Funny Car genre at the upcoming "Geezers At The Grove" event-- Stop by the Drag Racing Underground tent and say hello... I believe that Bruce "USA-1" Larson will be there too... God Bless the USA... "The Doc" (Celebrity Drag Racing Authority & Visionary)...

Well, why I certainly like the Floppers, they just don't hold nearly as much appeal to me as the early steel-bodied AWB's do. Here's my favorite Funny Car of all time with my favorite FC driver of all time. Jungle Jim drove Brutus for a lengthy period of time.
