Fast Flathead at Bonneville

    I don't make these rules. I just report them. The "F" on "XF" for flathead means Ford and Merc flatheads. But not 6 cylinder Ford flatheads, or Lincoln flatheads or any other flathead that is out there. A Ford flathead 6 cylinder would run in the "O" for Overhead cl***. Along with Hudsone, and Cad/LaSalle V8 flatheads. And Lincolns. Also gmc and buick OHV motors of the inline persuasion

    Ain't that part of the fun? Kong was a big believer in the reverse exhaust flow in his later years.

    I guess the results give the theory some support.

    Congrats all involved. Truly awesome stuff!

    As can be seen in the photos it's not a reverse flow engine. The intake ports remain intake ports. The exhaust valves remain exhaust valves. New exhaust ports have been cut into the block and welded. Unlike the Flatfire flatmotor that **** Landy built for Ron Main which uses the intake tract for exhaust and has welded up new intake ports running to what were exhaust valves.
