Were the Patrick Bros. Morticians? Sounds like "imbalmer" and the logo looks it too. Blood and scissors.

  5. Ya it was a play on words for "embalmer", called "In" for fuel injected, and the "bomber" I suspect had some tie to the Martin Bomber Plant in Omaha where the car ran out of which produced B-25 and B-29 bombers for WWII. The green hand is squirting a seringe of embalming fluid behind the name. Pretty menacing on a dragstrip!

  8. Bump! This is like searching for the lost ark! haha ...I was lucky enough to find the car and Patrick Bros. mentioned in the February '68 and '69 Car Craft magazines thanks to the Jr. Stock thread. Tracked those down on ebay and there on the way. Still looking for this one!! Thanks to all who have checked,

  11. bump bump bump.....would LOVE to find whatever magazine this article is in. Maybe it was some obscure NHRA program deal and not a magazine??.....someone out there must have a copy though! I've been updating all along in other threads, but for this one here are some recent shots of the car and how it is coming along...

  14. Fwiw - it took magazines about three months to hit the stands after deadlines were met back in the day.

  16. Cob-we picked it up from Woodbine Iowa, but it had been resting in Craig Nebraska since 1970. Original team ran out of Omaha Nebraska.

The 57 in the lower right is of John Barkley who is now an ***iciate publisher of Street Rodder magazine. I would bet a call to him would tell you exactly what magazine that page was out of. ;)

My guess is Super Stock magazine.

  18. Bump! Still no dice on the magazine. Here's some recent shots of the car, more coming soon.

is there any credits who wrote the article ?

  20. I don't know any more about who wrote it. Like I said though I was told it was Car Craft, but since I have had a few people check their entire collections and come up with nothing. In reading it again it looks like maybe this was some coverage of the '69 Winternationals? ...Super Stock magazine? Hot Rod? NHRA event program???

The first time I`ve seen this thread ,only had the internet since Febuary, only got it to be on the HAMB and to keep the kids and wife happy. Since we don`t have cable TV.

Kind of wierd thou--My first car came from Nebraska-which I still have. Never miss the car show in Woodbine. and will be in Omaha Tomarrow.

  28. Is it on the Patrick Bros. 'In-Bomber" or one of the "Tension" cars?? If you found a full page deal on the In-Bomber that would be killer!
